A rare giant hellbender salamander found dead because some hiker’s rock-stacking collapsed on her. I didn’t even know rock stacking was a thing until this year but there are many ways it disrupts the environment.
*Ever since it caught on as a form of white hipster “meditation” there are actually so many hikers who stack rocks now as a hobby that it collectively pollutes streams with sediment that the rocks would otherwise be filtering and reduces the populations of countless organisms that grow and nest among said rocks.

Water springs out of the Mulberry tree at Dinoša, Montenegro. For the last two decades, during the spring floods, the water has been running out of this old mulberry tree in a village of Dinoša in Montenegro.
I know everyone’s like “hahaha the tree is peeing” but if I saw that in a fantasy setting, that water is either going to make you immortal, crumble to dust, or age back into a zygote.

not to be like uhhrhjugh technology scary and bad but social media has definitely to some extent messed up the way we perceive people and relationships its sad
you dont know somebody personally because you follow them on twitter. you arent best buds with somebody because youre mutuals with them on tumblr. you are not entitled to every bit of information from their life. its become mainstream to share a lot on social media but you still dont know them and the healthiness of pouring out your feelings for a couple likes on a site full of strangers, especially if youre young, is debatable. approaching interpersonal relationships in real life the same way you do online is especially worrisome and frankly it only sets you up for social disappointment
You’re not dirty or gross if you’ve ever contracted a STI. You’re not broken. Your life is not over. Please get medical help if possible. But, it’s not the end.
