Last chapter shows that He Tian desperately wants to be next to Momo as long as possible, to gain precious memories with someone he loves before longer separation. Hard to tell if he knows already that he could not return or he suspects it. He’s scaried that he’ll lose touch with Momo and want to remember and being remembered. He tried to make memories of a date with his crush in a place which is significant to him and means a lot as a good childhood memory.

Mo doesn’t know that. Even so he unconsciously said something what He Tian needed to hear the most - that he won’t be forgoten, that he is important enough to be remembered. That’s why he looks so shocked and moved in last panel.

Good night, I’m going to cry in the corner with bag of chips in my hand.
