Certainly one of my favorites so far.Â
New shape that I designed that's inspired by Norse longships. Marine architecture has always intrigued me, so this was a particularly enjoyable pipe to make.
I present to you: The Viking.
fin.
Stained and precarbonized for a change. A new leather dye, with lignum vitae - the densest wood in the world - and rosewood.
The shape on this one was a blast, especially the thorn on the stummel. Also note Marlow in the background.
First volcano shape with a Blood stain. The yellowish inlay is ebony black and white. The actual black and white lines are buffalo horn sandwiching camelbone, a proper huntsman's pipe.
First go with turning some German cumberland. I found it to be exhilarating and well worth the extra time.
Kind of a squat bent poker with a redheart inlay and mahogany stain.
Finished the Arkenstone.
Put the Flash insignia since it’s for my roommate, who is the incarnation. That’s my insignia below.
A portrait from a recent editorial shoot with amazing pipe-maker, Russell Pace. Check out his handcrafted pipes and place an order! http://bluebriarpipes.tumblr.com/ -Canon 5D II, 50mm f/1.2Â L
Kind words and a great portrait from my good friend. Thought it was reasonable to show my face on tumblr too.
Hey guys, if you're interested in placing an order for a custom pipe, or just curious about pricing, feel free to email me at [email protected]! I do full custom work, with as much or little collaboration as the customer wants. Each pipe is unique to itself, and will carry its own personality and story.
I love the Dwarven influence on this. Tempted to call it the arkenstone. Next is the alternating rustication on the panels.
Working with some redheart for a paneled churchwarden. It’s crazy just how red it is and I’ve never smelled anything like it either.
Happy owner of my most recent custom order!

Finished product! Blood red with a Black Palm inlay. Is it a pipe or a bludgeon? Only time will tell.
Turning into a sort of horn/dublin shape. I mixed a blood red stain for it to be sanded off.
