In 4koa ch 83 when finally see Elizabeth and what I love is how Anghalhad, Nasiens, and Donny immediately notice Elizabeth’s stunning beauty not aging a day in the last 16 years, and even say Tristan takes after her by a lot (which is so true, he looks like Ellie but form some angles he looks just like Mel).

So I was wondering cause Tristan is obviously beautiful by NNT standards..I mean look at these pictures! I think he might be even more beautiful than Gowther

…how does Mel & Ellie react to Anghalhad, Nasiens, and Donny bringing up the fact that Tristan is beautiful too and that he genuinely got the best traits of Mel & Ellie’s physical genes 🧬 ?????

Meliodas and Elizabeth are very well aware of how pretty Tristan is. It’s why they always buy him the most stylish clothes. When other people point out how gorgeous their only child is it makes them super proud to hear and Meliodas will look at Tristan and Elizabeth and just sigh like “yes I got the best looking family there is 😌” leaving Tristan and Elizabeth to blush really deep shades of red and try to quickly change the subject.

I love fairies too much overall, but damn, they’re really the most hypocrite clan of all

Those who said that King is not fit to be their king because left to save the group of fairies captured are the same ones that previously came to him to do something for that situacion. They were mad because he was actually doing his job even thou he failed for circumstances that could not be changed (the amnesia basically).

That fairy said: “He left to save his friends”. Bro, his “friends” are actually YOUR friends, your siblings, your own clan. What they wanted from the Fairy King then? To just keep eating fruits and let their people die on their own without even going after them? Of course King HAD to leave and find them. King’s original intention was to leave for just some hours, the necessary to find them and return to the forest with the captured fairies on the same day. But everything changed when the attack+amnesia happened. I can understand they blame him for not coming sooner if they never found out King got amnesia for 500 years. But they can’t blame the Fairy King for leaving for try to save his clan… because that’s what a good ruler does, to care about his people! Fairies were yelling at him “do something” “do something”. Well, he tried as the ruler he is but sadly things didnt go well at all. And then the fairies thought that King leaving the forest to save them instead of staying was selfish from him or something? As the angst queen I am sorry but I can’t let this chance slips by:

The first time she told him it was OK to express his feelings and affections for others, that what the dk said about that being “too girly” was bs and he lets out literal centuries of bottled up emotions, emotions he asumed were long gone.

Dude just thinking about the first time he just breaks down and she held him the whole time and he’s shaking so hard while trying not to cry and she tells him not to hold it back and just let it all out and his voice is full of the most sorrow-filled wails she’s heard from anyone even as he’s still trying to keep them quiet (because demons have powerful hearing and he’s not used to being somewhere safe from eavesdropping)(he doesn’t need to though, doesn’t he know he’s safe? That no one, except her, will hear his walls torn down, not in this secret place, shared between the two of them, and long forgotten between all of the races)

Ok ok listen here: you know the famous scene on chapter 196? The one where he breaks down in the broken tavern after killing Frauding...he was smilling. Like in the page where he was show crying first, he was smilling. But when Eli takes him at her arms you can clearly see his smile drop and the hand holding the side of his head fall limp as he just....melts in her embrace. The tears came out against his own will but he broke down his final walls himself. Because she was holding him.

Image that but 3k years before but him looking more confused than anything.

All it took was her showing him the littlest of kindness that most people would take for granted for meliodas to completely break down and cry and be vulnerable for once in his fucking life. Because he never knew what it was like to feel loved by anyone and having it come from Elizabeth on top of her sayinf that it was okay for him to feel things and show true genuine emotion for the first time after being drilled in his head for so long that it wasn’t caused him to break down and let himself just cry as he knew that he wouldn’t be judged or made fun of for dojnf so with her he was allowed to he himself around her without fear something he hadn’t had before

(The last time he felt like this, though the memories are a bit muddled and it was definitely a slightly different feeling of safety and warmth, was centuries ago, before zeldris could even stand- before she was taken a from them much too early. Was this feeling he had right now, wrapped in Elizabeth’s soft wings, why his brother still fought this endless war? Could it be the reason for him to finally put his foot down and end it? All these thoughts go through his head as, although some more clear than others, as he slowly falls into one of the deepest sleeps he’s had in decades)

Even when he had fallen asleep her motions on his body never stopped as she knew the moment she did he would wake up and starting feeling awful again something she didn’t want to. So to ensure her precious sunshine got the sleep he so desperately needed (as she could see by the horrible bags under his eyes he wasn’t sleeping) she would continue to pet him as long as it took. Hearing his broken wails would haunt her forever that she knew for certain but even so she would never stop trying to help him to show him that he was allowed to be himself around her without fear of the demon king coming back to ruin it all again. If she could at least do that then all the pain would be worth it in the end. These thoughts along with the calm motion on her lover cause a small smile to form on his face as he cuddled deeper into her embrace causing Elizabeths eyes to widen as she finally got to see him smile.

He doesn’t even realize he was humming in his sleep until her voice joins the lullaby that always plays in the back of his head, waking just a little bit with the unexpected duet only to nuzzle closer to his love and go back into his (for once, peaceful) dreams

Elizabeth just giggled at his antics before nuzzling her own cheek against his causing to let out an unconscious sigh before he began to emit low happy purrs of content underneath her hand making her eyes widen as she had never heard him do it before but nevertheless still loved it as she pulled him closer and continued to smoother him with love and affection

He finally wakes up, fully, again and there’s so much unguarded adoration and love in his bright but slightly sleep-hazed eyes and he starts mumbling something so softly that she needs to lean closer to hear him and it’s just “I love yous”, spoken so quietly you’d think he wasn’t saying anything at all

She smiles lightly at him before saying “I love you too Meli and I always will never forget that.” Before kissing him on the lips catching meliodas off guard as he laid for a bit before joining her as he deepened the kiss with his own weak but still powerful kiss each other them battling for dominance before mel relented and left have this. They kiss for a bit longer before breaking as they needed air but not before a quick kiss on the lips again did they let go of each other

Soon after the events of that day are when the floodgates are truly raised high and Mel starts telling her about everything he can possibly think of from some silly thing zeldris did when he was younger that he doesn’t realize Mel still remembers to to the dumb old man joke galand joke that makes no sense in modern contexts to the head chef who would give him and his brothers treats when they were younger and her imprisoned scholar of a grandson who’s almost like a parent or older sibling he never truly had to his young human apprentice and the maths and sciences he tries to teach the demon prince, even if he doesn’t necessarily get it all and she responds with stories of the humans she danced with and the shenanigans the other younger goddesses got themselves mixed into or the young fawn she helped back on its feet the other day

She listened with attentive eyes as he continued to just reminisce about everything and anything he could think of that came to his broken mind as he lazily played with her fingers as he told the story with so much enthusiasm it made her heart melt seeing him happy over something was rare but welcome to sight to the goddess as she listened to the rest of what he had to say

okay so just imagine: Mel and Tristan taking a nap in the not to sunny/not to shady place under a tree.

I know this is supposed to be fluffy but:

Eli kicked Mel out of the castle bc he's working too much lately so she wanted him to just enjoy the sunshine for once, and he was walking along and tripped and fell under the tree and decided "oh well, might as well stay here".

And later on, Tristan goes to look for him and curls up on him with his head on Mels back.

Mel, who was dozing, wakes up upon feeling his son on his body and rearranges him and himself so that Mel is laying on his back and Tristans head on his chest.

YES!! His son likes to listen to his dads heartbeats like his mama does (although it’s more of a reminder that he’s protected by someone strong whereas for Ellie its a constant reminder that he’s alive)

OMG YESS he loves to mimic the sounds of Meliodas’s heartbeats in a cute voice because it makes him happy. And meliodas just melts hearing him do it, he will place his hand in Tristan’s hair and run it gently back and forth through in a soothing motion. Tristan loves when his father touches his hair as it makes him feel calm and relaxed that and it’s a sure fire way to get him to fall asleep. But Tristan will stubbornly fight it as he doesn’t want to fall asleep because he wants to talk to his father. But meliodas knows he needs his rest so he will wrap his arms and wings around him making a giant cocoon of warmness, love and protection around himself. That and combined with meliodas’s scent instantly makes him feel safe as he slowly falls asleep in his fathers arms. Even after he falls asleep meliodas Doesn’t stop running his fingers through his hair as he knows if he does Tristan will wake up again and he can’t have that so he keeps going until he too falls asleep holding his baby close under the warm sun and shade of the leaves

Tristan cannot resist sleep when his fathers strong presence is around, but sometimes, he will sit up on papa when he’s restless and just poke at his nose and eyes until Meliodas wakes up groggily to ask, “what are you doin buddy?” Tristan giggles and replies, “thinking about if you dream like I do papa!” “Of course I do kiddo. Nishishi.” His father replies. “What do you dream about papa, do you have nightmares too?” Tristan wonders. “Oh like you can’t imagine, but my dreams are more beautiful than my nightmares are terrifying, so sleeping isn’t so bad. Come to think of it...I usually dream about you and your mother especially right after a nightmare to help me go back to sleep. Hehe.” Tristan smiles warmly and wraps his arms around his fathers neck as he leans back in to reach him, happy to be important enough to his father to think of while he sleeps. Meliodas lays his hand on Tristan’s back and slowly rubs in big slow circles while he plants a soft kiss on the top of his head.
