“Daken! Dad!” came the twin shouts as Yondu and Uri rushed towards the fallen man, the kid sliding to his knees and groaning in pain but pushing through, as Yondu frantically pulled the bleeding mate on his lap, trying to wipe the blood off his head.

“Damn it, dearest I always knew you were a fucked up individual but not to this extent!” scrambled the male, as he tore off his jacket and shirt, tearing strips off to wrap around Daken’s head.

“Uri, there’s a phone in my jacket, call Xavier, tell him we’re bringing in my husband!”

Months passed and daken was still on a comma,the extent of the damage was unknown, he was as good as dead. inside his head he floated in a stream of neverending thoughts there he saw a light, inside saw his life, he saw how he was trained by Romulus, How he joined the avengers, How he made his brotherhood then there were glimpses, and those glimpses became more vivant and stronger….he remembered.

“GAHHHH!” Daken woke up from his coma. “Yondu, Uri! i remember…..I remember? I REMEMBER!!!”

Nobody was in the room but as soon as the heartbeat monitors came to life the doors flew open, admitting a nurse who hurried into the room and gasped seeing her patient finally awake. Oh his husband would be delighted! 

“Mr. Udonta! Please sit back!” she pleaded, trying to push the man back on the hospital bed

Daken slapped the nurse smilling in glee. “Move out of my way bitches i got a man to see!” Daken began to run away as fast as he could running forwards the exit, from there he proceeded to steel a car, get some clothes a bouqete of flowers, and a im sorry card. he then proceeded to return to his home, knocking the door 8 times in a beat like he always would. waiting for someone to respond.

Since his coma he grey a stubble, some of his hair grew around his mohawk, and other than that he was still looking the same.

Uri heard the 8 knocks in the door, 8 knocks in a beat, it was his dad....or was it? e proceeded to activate 3 of his yaka arrows behind him. once he opened the door he saw his father with flowers...."Dad?"

He had just listened to him silently as he had nodded a little. “My tribe tend to feel the same way about the lizard people where I come from. “ He had then looked his nephew over as a small frown had spread over his face. “What will you do after they are all dead? “

Who am I?

Yondu woke up to a metal claw almost buried in his neck and carefully opened his eyes. Upon hearing the question, he raised them to his husband and frowned.

“What the hell dearest, did you have that much to drink yesterday?” he asked form the naked man at his side

Daken grabed the pictures and analyzed frame….He was happy, truly happy; something he never experimented, not once in his lifetime…..He could smell the salty tears, he could feel the deception, the scent of betrayal, the disharmony of despair. Yondu reeked of it. Daken had broken hearts often much, but this time part of him felt hurt as well. “This….is a lie.” Daken threw the locket to the floor. “Stop messing with my head!”

When Yondu stumbled back into he house he didn’t even see what he was doing. Just sat at the kitchen table and hanged his head. There was no thoughts, there was no emotions, he was done. Blank. Empty.

For the first time in five years, after finally healing from his childhood and enslavement, and the captivity… The Centaurian didn’t know what to do. His fingers played with the simple band on his finger, twisting it this way and that. Pulling it off, Yondu stared at the words engraved inside.

“Forever as One”

“Forever as one and forever alone from now on I guess” he muttered to himself

It hurt watching his father so broken, so fragile as much as it hurt seeing his dad lost, turned into a shell of never ending mistakes, it made his heart ache, seeing how a couple months back things were picture perfect, till that rotten chip played with his father. “Pops, please calm down, I’m sure he will come back, and make things back the way they were….just have faith. ”

His son was growing big and strong, better then both of them every day.
