“You know, I love my mom, but... I just wish she’d give me a bigger heads-up on when she wants to go dragging me out for some family to a theme park... Plus, I doubt it’s even haunted... Agghhh.

“Hey, uuhhhhh... Guess who isn’t dead after all! It’s me. Turns out that if you break down in the middle of nowhere with no phone service, seeing odd lights in the middle of the desert isn’t normal!
“The good news is I followed them anyway, and they lead to a station! Whether it was real or not doesn’t matter; the van was fixed and I returned home safe and sound!
“....But if anyone wants to go to the desert with me after the New Year festivities, call me. I wanna see how much of that event was paranormal activity that I need to start doing research on. Like, ASAP.”
Made more fan art of these characters… and I have no regrets!! Spent a good two and a half weeks working on this, while having a lot of fun playing with colors. Lewis, Darling, you and your meddling friends killed me. Other than the animation style being fun and the music catchy, these characters really hit home with their expressive personalities, using no dialogue to do it. I was inspired to carry that into this short comic, because they are quite interesting that way. Lewis’ ghost provided a fun challenge since all he has really got are eyes and hair, but Arthur’s exaggerated expressions were also a nice change from what I’m used to. This story takes place sometime after the animated story ended, (which has been done before), so I chose to make them aware of who their antagonist was and sent Arthur, Vivi and Ben to pay their respects to their old friend. I was considering to let Lewis pass on, but after viewing many fan art pictures, it didn’t look like anyone would want him to go anyway. Heck, it’s more fun if he joins back in the gang!
Changed up the logo a little to suit a comic and I promise the original logo and background of the van are hand painted. It’s really hard to head-bob to Ghost and draw at the same time, thank goodness the song has breaks. Mystery Skulls Animated © MysteryBen27
WHOA! I was just about to go to bed and checked the tag one more time and THIS POPS UP? Jesus christ that EFFORT. I think this counts as the largest fan comic i’ve seen yet good lord. This is soooo good and you also didn’t even use any dialog and it comes across beautifully AND it’s adorable. You even did spooky eye lewis and drew the van omg. ;o; I have no other words to describe how awesome this is, the time and dedication certainly shows. Kickass work. :D That tweaked logo is sweet too, love it.

[ I just wanted to leave a message that I might try and take this blog off the sudden hiatus I tossed it into back when “Freaking Out” came out...? Lmao. I do miss everyone here a fair bit and Vivi & Co. are so, so much fun...
[ I don’t have any set timeframe when I’ll be back and active again, as home life has been... Not great. In short, my laptop thinks it’s overheating and turns off after maybe 5 minutes at most, our company is wanting to charge us an extra $50 for unlimited internet (due to less ppl buying cable and more ppl streaming), and the only computer left at home...is timed for how long and when someone can use it.
[ So yeah, it’s all pretty messy.
[ With that all said and done! I’m going to fix up some of the pages here to be more accurate with new information we’ve gotten, as well as reblog some of Ben’s newer posts. I’ll hopefully return soon with my Vivi icons back and then I’ll try to get this blog rolling again!!
