Karina’s back stiffened when she heard the voice of Judge Petrov break the silence of her quiet adventuring. “Oh!..Hello, sir. I’m sorry to intrude…” She replied. Averting her eyes, the hero tried to not give any reason for the judge to question her own reasoning, but with her being like an open book, there was no telling what was on her face at that moment. Quickly, she put on a smile for the superior. “I’m still getting acquainted with the building, I suppose. It always feels like we heroes are always is a rush to get from place to place.”

Yuri’s eyes settled on her for a long moment. “You are not intruding, in fact,” he replied, a hint of amusement to his tone. Karina Lyle was almost too innocent to be a Hero, or so he sometimes thought. (But just almost.) “If I were occupied, my assistant would have stopped you from coming in here.”

He leaned back in his chair, brushing a stray lock of hair out of his left eye. “I was about to take a break, actually.” He wasn’t entirely sure of his own motives at this point, usually not being quite so eager to intermingle with any crowd, but the lost expression on her face — she was little more than a child, to him, after all — somehow prompted him into it. “I am well acquainted with the offices around here; I can easily help you find your way to where you originally intended to go.”

"Are you sure, sir? I- I wouldn't want to take you away from any important business just to escort me. I'm sure I can manage..." Karina looked over her shoulder, catching Yuri's sharp gaze within her own, which sent chills down her spine. He was always such a mystery to her, but to why he put up with the Heroes and the council, she would never know. There had not been many times that Karina was called into court for any fines of any sort, but she knew of one hero that was very familiar with that situation. So the judge wasn't entirely unknown to her.

But the point is...Why would such a powerful figure care to waste his time on her? He could have chosen to have security kindly escort her...but he didn't. And now, the fact that there was no direction to her wandering could pose an issue.

Shrugging it off, she courteously bowed to him for his offer, figuring she could stall along the way until an idea came to mind. "That's very generous of you, sir."
