I deserve more, and I know that now. We would’ve been so great, you would never have wished for more than I would’ve given you. But you never gave it a chance. So now you’ll never know what could’ve been. Maybe someday you’ll regret it, maybe someday you’ll think it was the best decision you ever made, but maybe someday you’ll see me walking, smiling and happy, alongside someone who’s also smiling and happy because they have my heart. Maybe then you’ll stop and realize what you’re missing, because someday, someone is going to thank you for letting me go.

Is this what love is?

Waking up in the morning and no longer hating your alarm because you’re looking forward to texting and talking to this person. Walking outside and the sun is brighter and rainy days aren’t as bad. You feel like you finally found the one. Thinking about that one person all day. Wondering how their day is going and imagining you hanging out with them and how everything would be so perfect. Worrying if they feel the same way about you because they haven’t given any hints at all but even without any hints you’re confident they’re the one you want to be with as well. Wondering if they’re talking to other people who may be more interesting, more better looking than you. Worrying if the person they’re hanging out with who is the same gender as you, are they just friends or are they some thing more? The day goes on and you’re suddenly thinking how much more amazing life would be if you got to spend every breathing moment with them. Waking up next to them every morning, cuddling, rainy movie days, awesome dates, traveling the world and just everything together. Maybe this is what love is or maybe this is you falling for someone who doesn’t have the same feelings for you. There has to be a point in your life where someone was crazy about you but you just didn’t feel the same way. That person might be feeling what you felt and that is the scariest thing and worse case scenario. Some people will easily give up because they’re scared of rejection. Never give up on someone you want to be with. The biggest risk really is the one you don’t take. Not every story has a perfect ending but crazier things have happened. Miracles happen everyday. If there’s one thing we do have, it’s hope.
