After the Mission, Mav and the Daggers are leaving a diner close by after going out to eat food that is not a military planned meal. As they are walking and talking heading back towards the nearby Bradshaw residence, a car pulls up next to them and a man jumps out. All if the daggers watch shocked and horrified as Mav is snatched up by a tall man, wearing aviator sunglasses and a suit, and faster than they can identify the man, Mav tossed into the rear seats of the car while the tall man jumps into the drivers side slamming both doors shut and revving the engine. Rooster and Hangman immediately begin running towards the car as it speeds away shouting after it.

That he's just so sick of watching Ice and Mav walk around each other for over 30 years that he feels like the only way to stop his misery is to kidnap Maverick and force him to talk to Ice.

Or it could be Cyclone kidnapping Mav because Mav's run away from a debriefing and is avoiding the telling off Cyclone's going to give him for doing another reckless stunt.
