In three episodes we have seen more chemistry from Ruby and Otis than we've seen from Otis and Maeve in sixteen.

I was sceptical to begin with but I am sold on these two. Though I know the writers will inevitably destroy my hopes soon.

I don’t get it to be honest. These are teenagers. Life and romance is not supposed to be this angsty. It should be about having fun and enjoying those glory years.

Everything about Maeve and Otis is hard. It feels far too heavy and difficult. They make each other far too morose and when they are on good terms their communication is shit.

Those first three episodes were the happiest we have seen Otis in three seasons. That bowling date was fucking adorable, as was him meeting Ruby’s dad. Why ruin that for the same stale bullshit?
