To Pech and Natsu
Cat, O cat,
So firm in my grasp
So really and truly there.
Cat, O cat,
Oh good friend of mine,
This blanket is ours to share.
Your bones are so thin,
Your fur is so soft,
Your head fills the palm of my hand.
Your chirps, your purrs,
Your licks and your kneads,
All conspire to help keep me calm.
I know that one day,
I'll blink and I'll see,
That ten years you've already gone.
So be so firm
In my grasp, if you please,
'Til the day that you must shuffle on
