常滑市　焼き物の町もその雰囲気はどんどんなくなる。地元の陶磁器メーカー伊奈製陶がINAXをへて現在はLIXILという名前に替わった。常滑市で大きな面積を占めていた工場が今は空き地のままだ。海辺まで工場があったが海を埋め立てて新しい街ができ始めている。沖合には中部国際空港「セントレア」ができた。
