Questions about college!?!?
#college ok here's my story I graduated 2008, I'm 31 I've tried to go to my local community college twice. The first time I had no idea how the process was going to work at the time I was a full time worker with no car and no home computer service BUT I had a iPhone that I was told I could take my classes from it..ok 1 month in NOONE told me the process of the school when/how I get books so for the first month I had no books and no money of my own to buy the books I told my teachers the situation and was told do what I can in the classes until I get my books..so my first school check came and I got my books this would be the end of the month..I started doing what I needed to do..catching up. By the end of the semester I was dropped from all my classes no one called or emailed me to see what was going on or even asked what happend or if I could or would try the classes again I was left completely dry..so fast forward to 2019..I go back I asked questions make sure I do everything I need to do so I can be set put in finaid early so before school started I had my books I WAS PREPARED! then Covid happend I failed 2 classes math and writing but and inquiry and was told if u wanted to take the classes again I'd have to pay out of pocket..which I could not do so defeated again..this month I applied to Ashford university and to let you all know the councilors there are so supportive and helpful but of course I shouldnt very the only one but with no income my wifi was cut off i spent my afternoons riding the bus to walmart to use the wifi to email my teacher she told me to turn in the ONE assignment I was behind on and the next day I got the dropped email...I said all that to say what happend to failing a class and being able to retake it...I have read so many articles of people failing WHOLE SEMESTERS and still able to take classes again or something else EXTREMELY HELPFUL but it seems like when it came to me I got one chance and that's it someone hit me up and let me know what i can do i really do want to go to school and have many degrees under my arm but it feels like I'm being blocked I'm just being honest..#problems #help #collegestudents #advisors #failing
