âCalm? Now that I find hard to believe.â

He pouted. âRiight. you know me. â If she really knew him so well she would have noticed his feelinsg. Of course he had noticed her absence. That is why he noticed her return as well. He flicked her forehead with his finger before walking back to the palace, still pouting.
She blinked at the flick to her forehead, watching him head back to the palace. What on earth was that about?
It never crossed her mind that she might be wrong, that there was more to Sharrkan. After all, theyâd been friends for years. Could he still be hiding something?
No, it couldnât be.
She followed not too far behind, fatigue from the journey forcing the nagging feeling to the back of her mind. Sheâd have to talk to him later.
