The figure draped in white, in silver like moonlight. Complexion like frost upon soil. Touch her and you will shiver. Look at her and she will vanish. A cloud of ash. Silken threads to hide the scars beneath; the angry fleshy lines carved in agony. The agony from loneliness. This moon maiden sees the souls of fallen, she hears their cries on repeat. Their perishing screams of death. She sees them off to their resting place, she comforts them, lulls them to sleep with her song. But who comforts the lonely moon? No sunlight reaches this place.
