She could only laugh a bit. He was quicker than she gave him credit for. Perhaps she would go easy on the blackmail, if just because the child asked her to. It was hard to deny the request of a child. “I’ll try and go easy on you… but I know you’re tougher than know.”
The feline took noticed the child’s yawns and pushed herself off the bed. “Heh, I don’t know about bein’ an expert, but I have enough friends to know a little somethin’ every now and then.” The feline approached a dresser that was propped under a window. She ran her fingers along the top of it before taking a opportunity to morph herself into a much smaller form.
A little blonde house-cat with fine fur sat in place of the woman’s form. Her tail coiled and swayed slowly before she found her place atop the wooden surface. She circled around the dresser before settling in a nesting position, looking at the boy with dark green eyes. “Getting tired, Hotaru? Why don’t you sleep?”
He nodded, still feeling like she was an expert on these things. At least more one than he was. Watching her walk over to the dresser he nearly had a heart attack seeing her transform. He had already figured she wasn't human, but seeing a complete transformation like that without warning made him jump.
"How'd you do that!?" He asks, eyes wide with amazement. After a moment of watching her, he was able to scoot up into the bed more and find his way under the covers. "I'm sleepy but...I won't go to sleep til you tell me how you did that."
