This has been a long time coming but I’ll be officially going on hiatus for the foreseeable future.
Drawing and writing have become sources of stress instead of joy for me, and this has been the case for a while. Instead of feeling empowered by making things for fandom, I feel hampered by it.
Add to this the stress of being in my last year of design school, burned out, and generally depressed, and it becomes clear that as optimistic as I want to be, it’s not realistic to expect I’m going to get the inspiration and passion that I wish I could rekindle anytime soon.
I genuinely love making myself and others happy with my content, but if my heart isn’t in it then it’ll show in what I make and hurt me in the process.
I might come back refreshed in a few months time ready to create for myself and you all again, but at this point I can’t guarantee that my fics will be completed, nor can I guarantee that I’ll produce new content. The only things I foresee completing are my commissions, my zine work, and my Bang responsibilities.
My main focus now is taking care of myself and doing what I need to do to rediscover my love of making things.
