Male vs Female German Shepherd - ❤ AmiciPetCo

Before getting into answering the question of Male vs Female German Shepherd, it is important to understand that all dogs have variant personalities.

My sister was thinking of getting a Germans Shepherd and was absolutely torn between a boy or a girl... this article I found helped her tremendously.

Ultimately, she chose a boy.

My good ol’ dog Mary

See that beautiful pitbull mix on my thumbnail? That’s my good ol’ dog Mary.

Mary and I have been through some of the toughest things together. Some real challenges. I adopted Mary from a shelter that takes in animals from abusive homes. Mary’s previous owners were using her to breed other pitbull mixes for an underground dog fighting ring. Literally the scum of the earth.

I got a call from a friend that works the shelter about this beautiful, big eyed bullie, and that I would fall in love with her the moment I set eyes on her. Sure enough, I did. She was in a really tough shape when I first saw her. She had dog bites all over her hind legs, and had a terrible ear infection. After signing all the paperwork, I went to task.

A month later, she was unrecognizable. She went from being sad, mopey, and weak to an energetic and happy as a clam dog. I love Mary, and I’m grateful that it was I that helped her get back on her feet.

As I have helped her, she has helped me. Last year, I went through a crippling depression after ending a long term relationship that was going nowhere. I won’t get into too many details on that today (maybe later), but she immediately noticed my mood change, and worked tirelessly to cheer me up. Whenever I’d want to sleep and sleep and sleep, she’d jump up on my bed and woke me up, forced me to get and shake it off.

I’m forever grateful to this old girl.
