She got her music on and sat back down. She had just began writing when he spoke and her cheeks flushed a bit again she knew he was busy. Everyone did. All his friends had helped out in some way in the past. “Of course, Adrien!” She smiled. “I’m happy to help.” She said simply. She personally thought his father worked him too hard. He was still young. He deserved to have more of his own time. “My one condition…” she said looking serious for a moment. “Help me out with chemistry? I suck at it.” She added with a small smile and another little blush

How lucky he was to have such caring friends , who would do all this for him . If only he had just a bit more freedom , to hang out with his friends without hiding the information from his father , if only his father could lighten the rules even just a tad . 

A condition ? Well of course he’d be happy to return the favor , ❝ Of course !! ❞ he smiles warmly ,  ❝ I ‘ m sure you don’t suck but I am more than happy to return the favor and help you out. Anytime . ❞ It’s the least he could do .

She sat in her desk chair when he opted for the stool. She smiled and nodded. “Of course! Do you want music while we study or is that distracting to you?” She asked him, cheeks pink from sitting so close. She could smell his cologne. “Ever since I designed Jagged sunglasses and that one album cover, he sends me his cd’s signed and before they even hit store shelves. I’ve got his newest album.” She smiled

❝ Oh that’s so cool , sure I ‘d love to hear it .❞ Well she was well talented and liked after all so naturally even Jagged would do what he can to keep her around . He slightly fiddles with his pen as he starts playing the music , waiting for her to return back to his side before attempting the work .  ❝ Thanks again for this --- not only today but all the other times . ❞ Modeling and photo shoots has been taking time away from school lately but it was nice to know he had friends he could count on .

*puts her life first ahead of his, whether it is because he loves her or for the sake of battle*

*doesn't open his eyes, even if she is right there, detransformed in front of him*

*doesn't look because she told him not to*

*jumps off a building because Ladybug told him to*

*doesn't follow her to try and find out what she is hiding, even if he is mad at her for keeping secrets from him*

And this is all just during times of battle. Beat that.

Marinette was glad she had gotten rid of all of the photos of Adrien. Especially after the mishap of the tv crew in her room. She cleared dress design sketches from her desk and laid her schoolwork out instead, pulling over a stool and offering the comfy desk chair to him. “You’re cool-… I-it’s cool! R-really! And maybe if we get the schoolwork done we can play some video games?” She offered a sweet smile

A soft smile is drawn on his lips , he nods to her suggestion before taking a seat on the stool , pulling out his school work form his bag . ❝ Or maybe whenever we need a break , ❞ it’s been a while since he’s has some fun with friends after being cooped up in his home for long . He understood the importance of finishing their work but the temptation of video games were strong.

A friendly smile is stained along his features as usual , a warm , but very quick greeting is made to her parents before he is whisked away up the staircase , and into another room . He sets his things down to withdraw the need books , following her lead and setting up where she was . ❝ Thank you Marinette , for  offering to do this with me , ❞ it wasn’t often he got to spend time with friends ,and even if they did have to work, it was still enjoyable .

Master Fu nodded. “I understand. I have no clue myself, though if I were in a good condition to fight, I’d start with the next time Mayura shows up.” There were just so many people in Paris, all he knew was that everyone within a couple blocks radius so far weren’t it.

“This ends our ‘Chinese Lessons’ for today. I’m not sure how many times I can appear as your substitute teacher before someone gets suspicious. Who is it that you think you take after more, your father or your mother? I don’t think the woman who answered the door was her either.”

He nods along, it’s been how long and they weren’t any closer to finding an answer , how frustrating , and how many lives of the  people of Paris were in trouble , daily , because of Hawkmoths actions . 

❝ My mother , ❞ the question took no time for him to answer ,  ❝ Non , Nathalie is not her . My mother . . . is no longer around . ❞ And the moment she was gone from their lives his father had changed, being coming more withdrawal from his son  and make his work his life .

Marinette deflated a little, but smiled small. “Well, I have to finish mine too. Maybe we could work together?” She asked hopefully. “If we go to my place my parents might even have snacks for us!”

❝ Sounds great ! ❞ How perfect of a plan , he didn’t completely cancel on her  and how could he pass up on the Dupain-Cheng ‘ s snacks . He pulls out his phone to message his father , unlikely he would actually answer his phone . It wasn’t too long before he slip the phone back into his pocket ,  ❝ Alright , lead the way , ❞ a smile now staining his features .

He hadn’t been expecting such a question , of course he didn’t know, he had been working with them for some time now trying to get to the bottom if Hawkmoth’s schemes . But of course the blond didn’t take the question so personally , he shakes his head , 

❝ Non , no clue . We haven’t collected any new clues to what he could be planning or his true identity  . ❞

My ladybug…

Well, she supposes it’s better than bugaboo. A few clicks and slides of her yo-yo later and she’s set a timer for, well now, a little less than twenty minutes. She closes it before pulling the string in preparation of their parting. 

“I won’t keep you waiting,” she promises, throwing her yo-yo to the nearest building fixture and pulling it taut. “See you soon,” she finishes with a quick wave before leaping from the edge of the building to make her way to some abandoned alley.

He slips away to turn back into his regular clothes, a smile permanently stained his face oh how long he had waited for  this. His heart skipped a beat just thinking of what the night could hold. He needed to prep, make sure the evening would be one she wouldn’t forget ! 

He wasn’t sure what pastries would be to her liking so he got a few options, maybe a tad too many from the best bakeries around Paris. He carefully packed them away along with other supplies before allowing the black suit of his costume take over once more. Departing through the window and raced off to the tower, there was still something left to do. 

Upon reaching the Eiffel tower he had a few minutes remaining, which he used to set up the scene. Spreading a blanket on the floor and in the middle of spreading out the desserts he noticed a familiar figure, looking up it was none other than his ladybug.  ❝ Evening, lovebug. I was hoping to have this done before you arrived, but seems like I’ve run out of time. ❞
