im using this blog for the first time in literal months to share a headcanon i have:

joycon drifting exists as a legitimate medical condition in the splatoon universe, it’s very common and it causes inklings/octolings to forget what theyre doing and wander off in a random direction. it can be caused by overworking yourself in battles, and it is easily cured if you go to a doctor early on and have them prescribe medication to take

So it was Salmon Run and it was high tide. But instead of being normal high tide it was like super high tide? By which I mean you were confined to a like 2x2 square at the very top of the stage.
