Ryuko Matoi - Kill la Kill I actually drew this last year but it was a Christmas present. So now that it's actually where it belongs, I can finally post it!!! 😁💖 I feel like this was the piece that kind of reignited my art spark. I did some experimenting with light and shadow here, as opposed to my more traditional means of shading and I absolutely love how it came out. It's not something I've explored much of previously, but plan on exploring more of in the near future! I'm also really trying with the whole background thing. Oooh, look at me doing more new stuff and stepping outside of comfort zone again. It might not seem THAT wild and crazy but sometimes I have a hard time letting go. I know that might not really make sense, however, I will do my best to explain.... So, sometimes I get stuck doing things a certain way and breaking out of that routine takes a tremendous mental effort. I've always love neon colors and art with varied color palettes but I haven't explored them much myself. The only exception being some of the pour paintings I've done. I'm trying to explore and experiment more with my art.
