hahah I feel like Darby just shakes his head at Theo and thinks the guy is a total mess (and kind of an idiot) and is just like “how is he still alive” but i feel like he’d get along w/ him really well (if he’s okay with being teased a lot haha) and they’d def get into all kinds of trouble but alSO I think the joke is on darby b/c tbh darby is also his own kind of disaster smdh he just doesn’t realize it 

(also i feel like whenever they hang out it really is a miracle they both don’t just die .... I guess that’s where their magic comes into play haha)

Ok, so honestly, June is sooooo enthusiastically on top of helping Sage throw that party each month like that first one esp was only the like third most exciting day of her life ;DDD (which is admittedly a claim she probs makes a loT but I s2g she means it every time!!)  

Honestly, June is 100% thankful for his help at all times!!  And she has about a million questions and he’s probs like ‘chiLL’ bc she is like rattling things off and he’s probs forgotten what the first fifteen questions even were atp ;DDD but she’s just excited!!  HE HANGS OUT W HER TO GET TO KNOW HER SIS AND ACCIDENTALLY MAKES A FRIEND ALKSJDFLKJSDJKF IM! CRYIN!  It’s so real!!  Yknow, June grew up in NYC and I feel like Jasmine is probs the sort of person who like every other dude they ever met fell desperately in love w her so June sees him look at Jasmine that way™ one (1) time and she’s just like ‘oh you poor sap here we go again’ aklsdjfkldjsf hahaha  

Also since they’re friends now (you hang out w June more than twice and she’s like ‘ok we’re friends now’), she’s probs captain of this ship and like ‘make! a! move! make it!’ and def tries to bring him up to Jasmine who’s like ‘why’re you talking to be about a dude who’s still hung up on his ex’ probs hahahaha

Also cue June groaning loudly whenever he’s like ‘jasmine? jasmine who? i don’t likE jasmine’ hahahaa  June is like YES YOU DO JUST MARRY HER MARRY HER NOW #facepalm

(First of all, still laughing over this ;DDD) .... And now I’m imagining them befriending each other initially b/c they are both close to each other’s crushes but then just becoming friends in their own right ;DDD

HAHAH omg!!! I feel like you are so right and that guys in NYC would fawn over Jasmine all the time (and Sage had to beat them away with a broom probs ;DDDD). 

lmao I feel like Darby will regret offering his help like .5 seconds after offering it to June b/c she’s so!!! incredibly!!!! eager!!!!! and he’s just like “okay slow down there, kid, I can’t keep up with you” (also just decided that he calls her “kid” even though she’s only five years younger alkdjflakdjfl) 

He also rolls his eyes at her literally eVERYTIME she brings up jasmine and tells her teasingly that he’s regretting this friendship haha and will still deny he has any feelings for jasmine (although I feel like he will eventually cave and just be like okay you can shut up now i like her now let’s move on)

Don’t be Stupid | Darby & Zach

The sun was setting in Fate: a sign to most of the town residents that it was time to turn in for the evening. Nothing much happened in this sleepy small town after dark (Darby guessed the most exciting thing that any of them would be getting up to tonight would probably be a slightly competitive game of Monopoly). 

Darby had wandered from his own apartment (which still felt uncomfortable to hang out in since he and Caitlin had broken up -- not that Darby would admit that to anyone) to Zach’s and found that no one was at home. He suspected that Troy was out having a social life (he was the smart one) while he would bet that Zach was probably still tinkering away at the garage. 

Grabbing his coat and his keys, Darby drove into town, unsurprised to see Zach’s truck still parked outside. Zach Hall, you are one boring and predictable guy. 

“Okay c’mon, dude, this is pathetic,” Darby said, his tone suggesting he’d caught his friend doing something much worse than spending his evening catching up on work. "Are you gonna make me bitch at you for the next forty minutes or are you just gonna cave now and save me the trouble? You know, either way, I’m gonna win and we’ll end up down at the bar. It’s up to you how much time we waste before we do.”

I feel like he’s actually super quick to give away his heart??? (Not Kara quick lmao but that’s just an extreme example all the way around 😂). But I do think he falls in love pretty quickly and is honestly a super romantic guy!!! As a result, I do think he can also fall out of love just as quickly sometimes (I think this was probably what happened with Caitlin tbh!!!) Part of it is that he loves the idea of being in a loving and supportive relationship and so when he meets a girl he likes he’s just like “HEART EYES!!!!” at her and falls down the rabbit hole.

June is so beyond pumped about getting to know her housemates!! and about getting to know fellow witches ~if you think he’s been open about that?  Either way, though, I feel like June and/or Sage are probs trying to organize a whole housewide dinner-and-games shindig to get to know everyone, if they haven’t already had something like that????  So there’s always the potential that comes along w those sorts of interactions too!

Okay, so first you kNOW Sage has already done that!!! Haha tbh she probably plans a housewide event every month to get people together and recruits all of her sisters into helping haha. 

Anyway! Darby is honestly all about it!!! He loves socializing and he’s v pro-Black sisters taking over the coven and he’s here to help show them the ropes!!! Also ... he has a unconventional crush on Jasmine #whoops and I feel like he probably wanted to befriend Juniper to have more reason to casually be around Jasmine #facepalm but I think he’d actually end up loving hanging w/ Juniper. Also??? For some reason, I feel like Juniper may pick up on it???? idk???? But I can just see her being like, “If you like Jasmine, just ask her out.” and darby’s just like “haha me? like jasmine? haha how absurd.”

Darby is such HEART EYES @ jasmine!!!! <333 (cue him volunteering to do an article on the museum and the improvements she’s planning on making b/c of a sudden non-related interest in art! ;DDD)  

I think he’s wanted to ask her out since Day 1 tbh but it’s a little complicated when you 1) have a crush on your landlady and 2) you still live w/ your ex??? Also Darby would NEVER admit this to ANYONE (including himself haha) but he’s also a little intimidated by her --- she’s this experienced big city girl haha and he’s this small town guy! I think this is new territory for him all the way around b/c he’s never been afraid of rejection before?? 

I think while he’s navigating all of these things, he will deny that he likes her more than a friend to anybody who brings it up lol but since they are both naturally flirty & friendly, I feel like he does tease her a lot just like he does w/ any other pretty girl haha 

ALSO, I feel like he likes to bring up Caitlin a lot just so he can call her his ex so Jasmine knows he’s single haha but I think he probably does it often enough that it just sounds like he’s not over Caitlin #facepalm
