We're into the final week of this year's ShortBox Comics Fair, so consider this your reminder to go look at our brilliant lineup of over 140+ original, new comics before they're gone! One of the reasons I created the fair is to provide a platform for artists you many not be as familiar with; people who are just starting out, and also artists who otherwise may not be able to travel or exhibit in person: whose countries may not have comic events or as much of a 'scene'. So the fair becomes an impetus for them to create a comic that they'll be able to share with an audience. Every comic you've seen on this account has been created specifically for the fair and is available only throughout October. This is why my advice is always to not sit on any comics you're interested in: while a third or so of participating artists will go on to sell their SBCF comics in some form, I'd say two thirds of the comics in the fair you simply won't see again due to the same factors laid out above, and additionally because some artists don't maintain stores or wish to do anything further with their comic. Get the comics you really really want, but also if that's not an option, follow the artists whose work you're interested in and that way you can keep informed if and when they make their comic available again.
