And maybe that was the thing that brought the wetness to his eyes, flicking them from Azin’s face down to the floor. 

   “How am I-- ...How am I supposed to help anyone if I--” exhaling heavily, his jaw worked from side to side and his gaze moved up, “I can’t look them in the face and say that there was no way he did this.”
