i want EVERY medkit hc. i am GREEDY. i am the medkit collector

ooh let me compile my medkit hcs birdkit: found it interesting with scythesnake hc. think of that one image with the crow and the snake wrapped together. he specifically is a luzon bleeding heart/bleeding heart dove. you KNOOOW i gotta bring subspace into this. i am so sorry. i dont think medkit quite hates subspace. its a complicated feeling. some days he hates him and he wants nothing but the worst for him. but i think part of him recognizes that they are both cogs in the same machine. subspace is a product of his environment just as much as medkit is. after the incident, because of how often they worked together (hello late nights in the lab..) medkit often still has habits that he picked up from subspace. he still does things that he only did because subspace was around, like making sure things are organized (subspace was very nitpicky about it) before realizing that he doesnt need to anymore. medkit has cracks on his horns because of the incident. medkit is very observant. after a while of being around the members of the church (more specifically scythe and broker.. im sorry dollmaker i dont know much about you yet) hes picked up very keenly on their pet peeves even if they dont vocalize it. scythe bites her lip when shes nervous or frustrated or thinking really hard. broker chews on her own nails when she zones out. broker is kind of an anomaly, but medkit has learned to pick up what she means with certain expressions and phrases even if she doesnt say it outright. medkit does not like being touched on or around the shoulders. he also refuses to let anyone touch his face. medkit keeps his nails very sharp. if he does not have access to his gun, she feels more confident having at least one other thing to defend herself with in worst case scenario. hes very guarded. medkit has chronic leg pains. hes not quite sure where they came from, but theyre there regardless. ALSO as much as i love birdkit im also a big fan of harekit. i think hes a kicker. he will knock you the fuck out. for a while after joining the church, medkits feathers were very fluffy (due to puffing up to keep warm in blackrock), which caused him to overheat quicker. gradually they smoothed out. they have a very silky appearance (when he actually takes care of them.) he gets debris stuck in his wings a lot. it will usually sit there for days because he doesnt have the energy or time to manage it. because of his birdlike qualities and his demeanor, medkit actually has an easier time dealing with oziphrages. that doesnt mean he likes them, though. medkit doesnt have proper horn dye (his horns are originally green) so he has to manually paint them. sometimes youll see the paint chipping to reveal the green underneath. though he cant fly with them, he can use his wings to give him a bit of a boost when it comes to jumping or climbing. this also applies to throwing dust in peoples eyes when phighting. very effective ! medkit actually got his horn ring from scythe as kind of a 'welcome gift' from the church. medkit naturally has self-destructive behaviors, whether she realizes it or not. medkit picks at her nails and fingers a lot, to the point where sometimes it bleeds. its a nervous habit of his. uhhmhmhhmmm i would drop down some more but tbh i havent given it much thought and all of this is kind of written on a whim. im sure u can tell because this is kind of like. disorganized. but

as for post-incident, (this is just my personal interpretation of his lines) i think that medkit does, like you said, believe subspace was also a cog in the machine, but medkit believes by default that because he rebelled and left that he is inherently better. of course medkit is still terrified of being captured but he believes he has the moral high ground. i’d say if anything he hates subspace because of the incident, medkit is typically a pretty “do-as-you-will” character as long as he’s not being incessantly bothered.

for medkit’s horns, i feel there’s probably some kind of filler for horns in the inpherno that he’d like to use to fix the cracks. he can’t get high-quality repairs so it’s still visible. i think horn paint is provided by the church to match their colors i think thatd just be. cool

youre right that medkit is most likely pretty observant, and i feel like he wouldnt like people touching him at all. probably freaks him out

'you did this to me' line that medkit says(?). moral highground is definitely an interesting take /pos that i havent considered before. i usually think of medkit thinking of himself as like. not a good inphernal. but i guess moral highground doesnt mean 'good inphernal' it just means better than the aforementioned guy. i do like that take a lot,,, I LIKE THE FILLER THING LOTS TOO
