I find when I like a character a lot, my mind goes to Imagine them in literally anything.
Like when i watch a Reddit story, need to picture a guy? It’s brick from borderlands. Need to picture a son as well? Just do a smaller, equally built brick.

I miss when borderlands didn’t try to make the proportions of the vault hunters more realistic and they made them more exaggerated
Like brick is so bulky, he reminds me of those needlessly buff looking dogs like a pitbull or Bull Terrier, he’s like 7ft and weighs over 400 pounds, THIS DUDE IS HUGE.
Especially compared to Mordecai where he’s super skinny and tall, he looks more of a bird without any feathers, which fits him perfectly since he’s a bird lover (also goes for brick with dogs as well).
This all culminates in them having UNCANNY proportions, even compared to Lilith and Roland with the more realistic ones, but DAMN if their fun to look at, AND comparing them to their animal inspirations.
Anyway this is less a post about how I don’t like the direction of modern borderlands and more of cheeseing about my favs.
in memory of the last time the original four were in the same space, breathing the same air 🥲
For the Sonata fans out there.. I dedicated my semester to making her scarf!! along with a sweet beaded pin of her logo ( the small one is the eighty sixed pin so that obviously ant mine)

IT'S PUNCHIN' TIME, SLAB!
banger post boss . the last ask has me reeling we're just saying anything now
Thank you, Ben! I only post bangers, as you know. I really don't get it, though. You also make a very good point in the tags mentioning that it is very strange when others want Jack to be a racial minority So, So Bad yet also completely ignore the actual brown characters—the allegory is much more impactful if he were white considering how Roland, a black man leading the main revolution against him, is murdered and then Jack (racistly!) puts on a blaccent, pretending to be him to the player and then proceeds to mock him. You really cannot get more in-your-face about it when it comes to Handsome Jack.
Yes, Jack is my absolute favorite character in the series and I even consider him one of my favorite characters across all of fiction, I will admit this shamelessly, but whenever I see people draw him with dark skin, I raise an eyebrow, and you should, too. Not every character out there should recieve these headcanons—now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying people should stop having fun, I don't really take issue when fellow brown individuals feel like projecting their skintone in characters they like, but I usually only see this flavor of Jack drawn by white people. My theory is that white artists do this to come across as more "woke," if you understand what I'm trying to say here, but they fail to understand the undertones they implement when they draw him anything but white.
No, Gearbox is not free from criticism (as the fandom is more than aware), and there are a lot of anti-Native or generally racist elements (you see how the Pandorans are or arguably even the manner Tina speaks—as much as I love her, you can like her and also just accept that yeah that's a little racist coming from Gearbox), but there was a clear intent in the message they were trying to deliver as they criticized corporations and their white supremacist CEOs.
Also—the person who was in my notes saying all that is Argentinian. Point and laugh.
I’ll rub baby powder on my feet then use them to play borderlands 1 and then draw with my hands
Im so Productive

I love how Mordecai is trying to lecture Brick on how to make a swifter kill other then punching like he wasn’t a damn GIGGLE MONSTER when making guy‘s heads explode with a critical hit back in BL1
Acting like he was all quiet with it
SUREEEEEEEEEEE
This picture of the BL1 vault hunters always makes be giggle because everyone else looks like their actually looking at something while Roland is just looking forward with the most unfocused eyes
Roland where THE HELL are you looking
