I'm finally trying leno lace for the first time.

Im using two yarns hand spun here at home. The warp is springy and the weft is mixed with linen and has no stretch at all. I forgot to count out the right number of warp threads and there was some mess made there on the bottom right corner, but I like the leno affect!! I'm going to order some professionally spun weaving yarn so the thread is less irregular. My hand spinning is still....improving. 😊

Next leno project I'll include a border on the side to avoid the draw-in that happens where the fibers are crossed at the edge.

Made kimchi for the first time. When do my 👀 stop burning?

Another "throw away" practice piece. Working on even selvedges AND less side tension which equals less pull in. Rolled in a sized and cut paper bag on the back bar to help the warp threads keep even tension. I am still clumsy at tieing the warp threads evenly and my weft thread sometimes ends up slightly wavy after the first or second heddle beat, but I manually smooth them straight with a comb.
