“It’s not… you know. Literal, but… anyway,” Noah chuckled and shook his head, wondering if maybe that really was the guy’s first time hearing the expression. When the employee began to pull down a few roller skates in his size, Noah noted that they were, well… kind of plain. “Ah, what a shame,” he said, looking over a few of the options. If they had more color or something interesting about them, he’d have considered buying a pair, but he really wasn’t sold on any of the boring varieties, if you could even call it that. “I guess I’ll go check somewhere else, but thanks for entertaining my request,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
Bodhi could feel his managers stern eyes burning through him as this guy was about to leave without buying anything. He took another look at the skates before spotting one more pair high up on the shelf. "There's uh-- how about these?" he asked, pulling it down and opening it to reveal a bright yellow pair, with a busy pattern that Bodhi actually found offensive it was that ugly.
