"Are you going to buy the basketball, or just keep staring at it?" Bodhi asked, and this is probably what his manager meant when he asked him to work on his people skills. He couldn't help it though, couldn't fake small talk or act like he really cared whether someone wanted a new baseball bat or not, they'd buy the item regardless of his attitude, this place was the only sporting goods place around for miles.

Frankie didn’t have a lot of friends, and when they did he usually went some periods of time without much interaction with them. This was one of those times, it had been about a week or two since Frankie had last seen Nibs—but they went about like no time had passed. Frankie walked up to Nibs apartment door and knocked, and excited look on their face. With much frustration, Frankie had decided they weren’t going to say their usual greeting only because of how excited they were to find a bucket full of guitar picks for Nibs. In the past two weeks, Frankie had been collecting the guitar picks whenever they came across them while sorting through the trash. They held the bucket in their hand as they waited patiently, making little ‘tsk’ noises to soothe himself from their deviation from their usual greeting to come.
