Gyro blinked a few times, eyeing the small woman. Right–so this was more of a garden than an oasis. Fair enough.

He watched quietly as she approached him and Valkyrie, and as she extended her hand toward the horse’s nose. The way she patted his horse actually earned a slight smile from him. At the very least, she didn’t seem like a threatening or harmful person.

After listening to her next comment, Gyro dismounted his horse and gave him a pat on the neck. Returning his attention to the woman, he spoke again.

“You seem to know a lot about this place,” he said. “Do you–live here or something?”

“Of course I live here!!” She chortled at the man before leading the steed somewhere it could rest and feed.  This wasn’t the first stranger to stop by, just the first one to come around in a very long time.  “I sell herbs and tea’s to those who travel around here. I also sell water if needed though I always feel a little guilty for it.” She’d give it away for free if her stand didn’t add a little extra Umf to it.  When she returned she couldn’t help but laugh at this odd looking fellow. “ What about you? Just running through?  Alone? That’s a bit dangerous don’t you think? It can get pretty hectic out there after all. “
