Toy Story 4: Spoliers

As a person who was initially very upset. I realize now why it ended the way it did.

They know who their audience is. Who this matters most too. It's the 15-19 year olds that grew up with these toys. They are our toys. And they know it.

When we were kids, they gave us something to hold on too. A toy. A hand to hold to show us the way. To make us laugh and smile and most of all, learn.

We've carried these toys in our hearts out whole lives. We held on, because we stick together, that's what we do, and they know it.

They know our age, they know what we are going through, so they bestowed upon us one final, most important lesson.

Let go.

It's ok to let go.

You don't need to hold on anymore.

We are at the age where we can grow up. Where we are going out into the final unknown and we're scared. We're clinging onto our childhood for dear life whether or not we'll ever admit it and its because we're scared.

And they know we're scared. Just like our Toys. Our toys, who's purpose was to be there for us.

They showed us that if our most loyal sheriff can let go, and still be happy. If our brave space ranger can say goodbye to his sherriff. If our fearsome cowgirl can take up being sheriff. If their little Family can say Goodbye,

Then so can we.

And we'll be ok.

And that's ok.

Because no matter who we leave behind,

We'll see them again,

Even if we have to wait, until

Infinity

And

Beyond
