Can't he just up and move the nest? He is a ghost type with ghost like powers. Just take the nest and float it somewhere else!

Spook worked very hard to make a very nice nest! He likes the porch because its near a graveyard, is sheltered and usually quiet, with Lydia disturbing him only every so often. Some of his nest incorporates the little porch nook that he's in, so its not so easy as putting his nest elsewhere. He's holding out hope that if he stays long enough George will just....go away???

How often do pumpkaboos nest? Is this seasonal like birds, so he only loses a year in terror of George, or do they nest permanently and the poor pumpkaboo gonna be utterly traumatized by his one brain cell?

I'm gonna go with the one braincell. It's his forever nest! Stupid thing. Lydia helps where she can without George catching wind. She leaves food out sometimes, water dishes on a very hot day. Extra blanket when it's cold, so it's not all bad.
