Daryl Dixon and you..
Here are some things that I believe relate back to Daryl Dixon. Moments of his that are canon— to me.
This might feel slightly rushed, but I am fighting the urge to go to bed as I write this. If you have any more of your own ideas , do write them down.
"Daryl is not very verbal when it comes to his love. He won't say "i love you" so casually. His actions are enough to show you how much you truly mean to him. He would see you crying and his mind would immediately rush with things that could've gone wrong— wrong enough to make you sob. He would sit beside you, keeping a safe distance, gently ask what's wrong . He would let you rant or simply cry out your feelings before placing his hand over your shoulder. He won't say it'll be okay, because he knows the world both of you live in has no predictable "okay" day. Instead he would simply tell you "I'm here for you" or something like "it wasn't your fault" before letting peaceful silence consume both of you.
Daryl is not a very good singer, but times his voice becomes as soft as cotton and as smooth as ice. He would hold Judith close to his chest before reciting the only lullaby he remembers. This short and sweet lullaby his mom used to sing. He remembers it word by word because young Merle would sing it to him. The first time he sang it was in the prison when everyone was asleep and Judith couldn't sleep. He looked around before starting the recitation of the only lullaby that held his childhood in one. It made him slightly teary eyed, remember his childhood before all this.
Daryl hates summer. This man despises it as if the season cussed out his whole family. He would go out on a run during summer and 99% of the time he would complain (Mutter)about the insects during this season or how he's simply too sweaty, even for his standards. Carol would have to remind him that the last time he showered was 2 weeks ago, reminding him that it's his choice to stay smelly and sweaty. He simply wouldn't get near anyone, not even let anyone sit on the backseat of his bike.
Im so close to falling asleep.
