Kuroo, pointing at Bokuto: You see Bokuto over there?

Akaashi: Yeah? What about him?

Kuroo: He thinks you’re really cute.

Akaashi: I would hope so. We’re dating.

“And it’s too dark, it’s like the moon isn’t even out,” Bokuto continued to complain. “I miss seeing the moonlight on your face,” he whispered. His fingers brushed gently down the side of Akaashi’s cheek. “In your eyes.”

“It’s easier to sneak around like this,” Akaashi replied, knowing Bokuto also was going to miss the moonlight illuminating the deep blushes that spread across his cheeks anytime he received a compliment.

Or: Bokuto and Akaashi are from two enemy houses but even the longstanding hatred can’t deter them from wanting each other.

BokuAka Week 2021 Day 1 Prompt: New Moon/Full Moon

When a hand grabbed his arm, he didn’t even try to fight it off. But instead of the harsh, awful feeling of teeth tearing into his flesh, Akaashi was pulled firmly into a broad chest that felt very familiar. He cracked his eyes open and found himself surrounded by streaks of greens, blues, and aquas. The colours moved and swirled around him, rippling in places as something hit against them. But even with those gorgeous colours, Akaashi’s eyes were drawn up.

Or: On their walk home from a date, Bokuto and Akaashi run into a dangerous predator, causing the revelation of a secret but Akaashi is determined not to let it change anything.

Akaashi hadn’t thought it was a big deal when he bought a Black Jackals #12-themed phone case.

He’d just needed a new case, and he’d heard that the team was selling them. That was it. There was really nothing more to it.

Or so he thought.

Of course, Bokuto had to go and make it into something.

They were meeting up for the first time in two weeks. Bokuto had been training in Osaka; Akaashi was busy with work. The anticipation of finally seeing his boyfriend again had been building all day, and when they finally locked eyes, Akaashi couldn’t help the flutter in his chest.

“Keiji!” The man smiled broadly as he hurried towards him, trying his best to weave his tall, bulky frame between the small chairs and tables in the cramped Tokyo cafe.

“Koutarou.” Akaashi returned the smile, rising from his seat to embrace him in a tight hug and peck his cheek.

After settling into their booth and ordering, Bokuto launched into a uproarious account of Miya Atsumu embarrassing himself at a recent fan event.

In the midst of the retelling, Akaashi’s phone chimed. “Crap, sorry Kou.” He whipped it out as fast as possible, switching off the ringer and laying it down screen-first on the table. Bokuto gasped.

“You have a—that’s—oh, wow!” He snatched the device. “You got one of my phone cases!”

Akaashi blinked, confused at Bokuto’s intense reaction to something so trivial. “Uh, yeah?” His boyfriend turned the phone over in his hands, staring at the black, white and gold design with wide eyes, as if it were a precious jewel.

Bokuaka week 2021 day 1- New/ Full Moon

wasnt originally gunna do anything from day one but i didnt want to let the first day go without doing anything so i doodled this real quick last night

“Akaashi, you told me you were going to help me!”

“I’m sure you’re going to find a book you’ll like somewhere there Bokuto-san.”

“Akaashi!”

Not a raise of his head or a flick of his gaze is needed for Akaashi to know that Bokuto is scanning through the many shelves of books their library has to offer. Having to focus on his textbook for tomorrow’s exam, entertaining Bokuto’s hawking and gawking and having to make said person sit still so he too could study his respective lessons was no easy feat.

It takes hours of loose concentration, suppressed groans from Bokuto and a series of flash card quizzes before Akaashi allows him to take a break from their study session. Granting Bokuto enough leeway to wander around the library.

A poor decision really.

“But Akaashi, there’s too many of them. How do you even choose just one in the first place?!”

A sigh fills the ambience of the library. Akaashi’s textbook has been long forgone, already in favor of reading his own book that he found in a book shop one day. Studying can wait if it means he gets to read his book, not that Bokuto allows him any peace of mind for it at the moment though. Taking note of the page, Akaashi closes the book and heads over to Bokuto who admittedly looks like he’s having a midlife crisis.

“Do you have a genre in mind?” Akaashi starts, already threading through the catalogue of books the shelves have to offer.

“Not really, as long as it’s interesting you know.”

Ah yes, as if this will make Akaashi’s job easier.

“Well, you can try reading the classics if you want, there’s a fairly good selection of them here, or no maybe a sci-fi novel. Those stories are usually pretty engaging…or maybe a fantasy book.”

From the side, Akaashi can hear bubbles of laughter erupting from Bokuto Koutarou.
