Prompt: “I’m right here, okay?”
Also slight season 4 spoilers which I mean, if you know Tamaki then you probably watched Tamaki’s fight at the Yakuza headquarters but still, proceed with caution :3 ALSO IT MIGHT NOT BE ENTIRELY ACCURATE BUT I HAVE THE MEMORY OF A GOLDFISH SO BEAR WITH ME

Tamaki hated the press, he loathed being the center of attention, there was nothing more anxiety inducing than the thought of millions of eyes on him. A tremble ran down his spine as Aizawa opened the door slightly to enter the room, the cheering on the other side becoming louder for a second before quiet settled once more as he closed the door once more.
“Okay...Right now people just want to know a bit about those who will become the next pro-heroes, and being our top 3 students you are required to inspire those who would like to follow your steps” He said nonchalantly, looking at Miirio, then at Nejire, and scanning the room only to find Tamaki on the corner, eyes wide open, fidgeting slightly with his hands. Aizawa sighted, he hated doing this to him, Eraserhead did not like press attention, but he was nowhere near as anxious as Tamaki was about speaking in public. He approached the boy and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“I know this is hard for you, but it’s going to be over in no time okay?” He felt terrible for Tamaki but knew he could not go against principal Nezu’s orders of answering to the press.
Tamaki could not answer, he had already heard the sheer amount of people waiting for him just outside the room, a knot settled in his stomach and he had a hard time trying not to run off.
“Hi Y/N! Coming to see Tamaki?” Mirio asked you, his never faltering-smile landing upon you. “He is over there” He scratched the back of his head as he pointed towards your boyfriend hiding over next to Aizawa.
“Hi! Thank you Mirio” You smiled back at him and walked over to where you love stood, facing the wall, barely turning his eyes to see you approach.
“Hello my love” You placed a soft kiss on his shoulder, searching for his hand with yours.
“I can’t do this Y/N” He said, eyes closed as he squeezed your hand. “It’s more people than I have ever spoken to, what if they boo me? Or make fun of me?”
Holding his other hand you made him face you, a gentle smile on your face as his worried eyes lay on yours. You breathed in deeply, resing his forehead against him.
“Breath” You spoke softly, thumbs rubbing circles on his soft hands. His breath started matching yours, already feeling some of the worry leave his body.
“I know it is hard, but you can do this my love, you don’t need to talk, as soon as it is over you will come to me, and I’ll comfort you” You reassured the boy, the prospect of spending a relaxing evening, only the two of you, already making him feel better.
“I’m right here, okay?” You finished, a hand tenderly on his cheek as you stood up straight. He nodded slightly, those words giving him more strength.
“Okay” A soft smile appeared on his features as he took in a deep breath, closing his eyes. He was going to try, fill himself with courage even if it was momentary.
Aizawa opened the door and he glanced at you once more before letting go of your hands and walking behind Mirio, almost stepping out to the stage.
“Tamaki!” You called, smiling, and as soon as he turned around you spoke once more.
He wished he could be proud too

Your breath hitched as you watched the scene unfold in front of you, you jumped out of the ban as you saw Midoriya scream, barely saved by Aizawa, the place lay barely recognizable as debris filled the street, a gaping hole open in the ground.
You were called as backup for the operation to save Eri, however the whole ordeal had just ended as you arrived. The moment you were called to action you knew it meant trouble, you were only supposed to intervene if things got ugly. However you were more concerned about Tamaki, you knew he was an amazing hero, and you clearly didn’t doubt his skills, still something in the back of your head could not let go of the idea of him getting hurt.
Your eyes landed on Fatgum who was sitting on a piece of concrete, a rag against his head, he was clearly exhauhsted and had used up his power, his eyes darted to an ambulance. As you turned to look at it too you saw Kirishima, lying on a stretcher unconscious, in terrible shape. Your heart sank at the sight, where was Tamaki?
“Fatgum!” You approached him, breathing heavily. He stood up and placed a hand on your shoulder, his furrowed brows softening, he already knew what you called him for.
“He is still inside Y/N, but they are getting him...I’m sure he is fine” He sighed and beamed you a tired smile, the least he wanted what to have you panicking, he trusted Tamaki, he had probably held up a good fight. Your throat knotted up at the knowledge that Fatgum did not know about your boyfriend’s whereabouts, your hands fidgeted as you turned to look at the gaping ground.
Your feet moved on their own, you rushed straight towards the clear opening, you were not going to stand still while your dear was somewhere in there. You jumped into the dark abyss, deaf to the screaming voices of your peers as they warned you to stay back. You could not sit and wait, not when he could be hurt, not when he needed you the most.
The place where you stood was a mess, there were walls everywhere, spikes of concrete spurted from all around you in unnatural ways, your eyes searched every corner of the place, darting from one side to the other. You found the only way out.
You ran, not entirely sure of where you were headed, the place resembled a maze and not once were you entirely sure where you were headed, but you let your gut guide you, maybe he was somewhere in here, alone.
Every turn led deeper into the hideout, but the more you walked the more sense the layout of the place made to you. You were about to give up, feeling stupid for your reckless actions, when you heard something, someone, moving up ahead.
A silhouette inched closer to you, limping slightly, head hung low, however you could not mistake who it was, the hood over his head and coat gave of a slight silver shine, relfecting the few lamps that adorned the hallway.
“Tamaki!” You called, a weight lifting off your shoulders as you ran towards him. His eyes silently widened at the sound of your voice, lifting his head up just in time to tumble backwards as your arms wrapped around his waist.
“L-love?” He asked, taken aback by having you in his arms, or rather by him being in yours. A blushed managed to creep up his tattered face as you turned to look at him, your eyes watery at the sight of his hurt face. His chest heavy at the sight, what happened? Were you alright? A million thoughts raced through his mind as a very familiar feeling settled on his body, hands slightly shaking.
“I’m fine...I’m fine” You smiled, cheeks wet with tears, as your hand caressed his cheek. “ I was just so scared, you were not up there...I thought...” Your voice broke.
The anxiety building up within him settled, you always took such good care of him, and reassured him whenever he was overwhelmed. Now it was his turn.
“I’m right here, okay?” His voice soft as he brushed your wet cheeks, carefully as always, as if you were made of porcelain. “Im here love, I’m fine”
You smiled at him and pressed a soft kiss on his lips, the blush in his face making its way all the way to his ears. You held his arm around you, heaving him to lean on you.
“W-what are you doing” He looked at you with tired eyes
“You are pretty bruised up...I’m proud of you...let me help” You smiled softly
His heart thumped loudly against his chest, you sure where more than he could ever dream, and maybe if someone like you could be proud of him, he could someday be proud of himself too.
