also i think its an amazing coincidence considering what my current hc is that the way my kris icons are edited makes the red for their soul purple.

also just as a. idk psa? reminder? idk. my portrayal of kris uses they/he pronouns and is transmasculine, but would describe themselves as sapphic romantically, and enjoys and would use some femininely gendered terms, but are still nonbinary nonetheless. if the use of he/him pronouns for kris bothers you i understand and this is the warning now for new followers who might be uncomfortable with that. ty!

chapter 5 talk under the cut

trying to figure out what i want to be the case for kris and their soul with what weve been shown in chapter 5. clearly theyre starting to rot and die without it, and instantly return to a state of being fine once its back. and the implication is 100% there that we are, of course, NOT kris' original soul. i do like the idea that kris was originally an aqua soul, but i could honestly moreso see them having a purple soul originally. they are THE image of perseverance imo. i just dont know what i want to do about WHY they lost their original soul yet

i think for right now, im going to keep it as a sort of "they dont even know" thing and i think im gonna keep with my idea of them originally having a purple soul. imagine the horror of waking up one day and you dont feel like yourself, you feel different, and your chest hurts. so much. and you know, you dont know how you know, but you know that something in your deepest self has changed. imagine the first time kris ripped their soul out; like theres no way they would have ever tried that before getting the player soul. imagine pulling it straight from your body and feeling yourself immediately start falling apart. isnt that fucked up
