Ouch, that sucks, I’m sorry that happened >_< What pisses me off worst about these cases is when people not of the group that bears the brunt of the offensive joke do this; they think they’re helping, when in reality they’re infantilising and silencing the marginalised group as much as or more so than the people they’re trying to call out. While supporting actual causes is great, do they not think members of the offended group are perfectly capable of dealing with things like this themselves?

So the second man’s sin deserving of death wasn’t his behavior - his diet. It was clearly his existence as a fat person that was deemed morally wrong. Thin people can engage in the same behaviors without punishment, but eating while fat is a sin on par with threatening to murder a child.

being (cis) dudes, they are as unlike (cis female) me as possible.
