She woke up slowly as usual, her alarm clock ringing in her ear was obnoxious. Slamming the clock's button, it stopped it's chitter. Getting dressed from her unkempt tank top and shorts into her simple black and white kimono, she slipped on her shiny black flats that her friend recently bought her. Sumire quickly snagged a meal in the kitchen that she had prepared last night, she ran out the door into the hallway. She really liked Himaya's set up since it made going to school much more convenient. It was like living in an apartment where she knew almost everyone...well not exactly everyone at all per say, but they all went to school together so she supposed that counted for something.
To be honest, Sumire isn't completely human...in fact she's an onibi, a demonic flame that sucks life from any being. In her human form she's able to make blue flames with different shades of orange and white to appear, but she's unable to devour any vitality whenever she wants to. It is only the time of spring and summer, even on rainy days will she be able to call upon her flames to consume life. Unique to other onibis, it's mandatory for her to engulf at least one life form every year to sustain her human form.
Making her way to the school, the walk was short since the residence was located within HHS campus. School didn't start until another 30 minutes, so she didn't mind waiting on the campus grounds, especially since it's maintained accordingly. The trees, bushes, grass, and so on seemed picture perfect if you didn't notice some grass sticking out from some of the tree's fertilized soil, or new weeds budding in the garden of various flowers.
She sat down at a bench which was located underneath a willow tree. Sumire honestly transferred to Himaya not too long ago, perhaps two weeks ago? She still hasn't made any friends yet, but that may be due to her shy demeanor. She hoped to at least make one friend even if it is a teacher.
Daydreaming, Sumire didn't notice that a figure approached the bench. She barely even noticed the tapping since she was so lost in la la land; however, she immediately came to her senses. Noticing that it was another student like her, she got a bit giddy at the idea of befriending him however she tampered her feelings. Greeting him formally, "Hello, I am Sumire Tachibana. May I inquire who you are?" their short silence was enough for her to inspect him.
He wore casual clothing and had black messy hair, so he didn't look like anything dangerous. The fire spirits did tell her that looks are deceiving, she of all people should know what that's like. She twiddled her thumbs nervously, brushing back any hair that lazily fell in her face, Sumire really needed her comb to tie all of this back. She took it upon herself to grab her long black hair and twirl it around together, so it wasn't in a disarray temporarily.
"I wonder if we have any classes since you look quite familiar." she muttered, as she gazed up at him slowly. Staring at him intently, she noted his dismeanor and became curious about what he is however she might as well ask him later when they become closer friends. "If we do have the same class for several of our classes or even just one, shall we meet up and walk together?"
