I had this idea to draw Bone Violet like this a while back and i can’t believe i actually drew it! i rarely post art of my own series anymore.

Here’s some backstory (honestly It’s still in progress and kinda needlessly complex. but i guess thats what happens when you’ve been working on the same series for 5 years)

The story is kinda hard to explain but Bone Violet is a doll-like creation by Bone, who is basically the demon king and he created her as a distraction to keep Flame and Violet apart. Bone is sworn to kill Flame and Violet because they hold the combined power of the Crystal Heart. Its power is the only force strong enough to destroy him and his terrible reign since he’s already dead, considerably. His soul and all that was left of him is intoxicated and completely black as ink. Bone has already made a deal with Violet, he took her to the Souless Kingdom in return for Flame’s life (he almost died when he feel off a small bridge into a small freezing pond). Violet is still alive underground, forming a secret rebellion against Bone. Bone Violet’s job is to trap Flame in an eternal sleep. Much like a doll, she can “repaint” herself and alter her appearance to look like the real Violet in Flame’s dreams. She lives in a dark void but she can use the orbs (the balloonlike things in the drawing) to grant a wish, unknowingly each orb contains a soul that has been taken over by corrupted demons, like Bone, and each creation she makes (for example, a cupcake) is made of the material of old souls and bodies…but repainted into something else. She ideally creates a meadow field with endless flowers and sunshine as when she attempts to lure Flame into the dreamworld, where Bone can finally claim his soul. The only way Flame can save Bone Violet and himself, is to depict the dream from reality and to convince Bone Violet to be her own self, despite being an illusion.
