I started a Women's Collective for some friends and I and have been looking at literature on women's circles. One quote really inspired me today, but I could not find the author:“A circle of women may be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one, embrace it. If you need one, seek it. If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy, Dive in. Hold on. Love it up. Get naked. Let them see you. Let them hold you. Let your reluctant tears fall. Let yourself rise fierce and love great. You will be changed. The very fabric of your Being will be altered by this. If you allow it. Please, Allow it.”

Even though the Collective has only just begun, I feel new beautiful things burgeoning <3 I can't wait to really let go to the close women in my life. It's been a long time coming.

Squinch Owl is the musical project of Sofia Albam, a songwriter originally from New York state. She plays banjo, guitar, accordion and sings outrageously well. She sometimes is accompanied musically by her friends and family. Her music is reminiscent of early blues, Americana, and folk music, but simultaneously sounds altogether new.
