Mina covering Lucy’s neck so she doesn’t get a cold and wondering why Lucy is breathing heavily and groaning in pain, and the next morning thinking that the wound on Lucy’s neck is from a safety pin is one of the most frustrating “dracula character doesn’t know they’re in dracula” moments in the book so far. It makes everything that much more terrifying because you know exactly what happened and now you have to wait for the characters to realize it

1st Quarterly Book Update

It is March 31st, let’s see how I’ve been doing with getting through that huge TBR list I made, and my other book resolutions for this year: -- read new books I’ve bought before buying more, -- only borrow one book from the library at a time

Books read: 29 (v good, if a little excessive)

Books read from TBR list: 11 (not great if I’m really gonna finish this list)

Books I’m currently reading: 24 (which is 11 more than on january 1st)

Books currently borrowed from library: 10 (not good, clear violation of the rules)

Books bought but not yet read: 23 (yeah... that’s even worse...)

Books I’ve pre-ordered: 9 (not so bad. they go from mid-april to late november)

Conclusion: I have zero (0) impulse control when it comes to books
