Happy Good Omens book anniversary! I tried to get these two to get up and do something to celebrate but they were busy 😌
Here’s a lil good omens drawing! These are just some book versions, I think I’m gonna use these in the animatic :)

yeah sorry and all that jazz but its all wintery outside and i have headcanons galore
that knitted scarf and those knitted gloves were drawn with the tiny fantasy that aziraphale would gift him something like that IDK

Inktober Day 3
Bummed about uni stuff and the fact I’ll be unable to join pilferingapple’s Good Omens October, so today you get a pondering Aziraphale and Crawly.
… And because I in fact made an attempt at analysing the first bit of the book, what follows is the only bit of it I’m actually really proud of (trust me, it’s relevant):
[T]he progression in the prologue is pretty amazing on its own. We start with ‘It was a nice day’ and then slowly, as the chat between Aziraphale and Crowley turns from more-or-less a weather talk to pretty much existential discussion on the nature of Good and Evil, everything turns darker, ending with a somewhat ominous ‘It was going to be a dark and stormy night.’… Come to think of it, this also means the unusual prologue is framed by two biggest writing clichés known to mankind (or so I’ve heard). At the same time, we are treated to a very cosy image of an angel not only chatting with a demon in an amiable manner, more or less, but also probably shielding him from the first rain on Earth as well - which is basically Aziraphale and Crowley’s relationship in a nutshell. The prologue also sets the recurring motive of the two of them being in fact the observers rather than agents in the story. Sure, there’s the temptation (but that’s pretty much scheduled), countered by the (seemingly) spanner-in-the-works donation of the flaming sword (*snort*), but they pretty much even out in the end. This tendency is more visible later on, but the first hints are already there. All in all, ultimately it’s the humans deciding about their fate, with the higher forces either looking on, or becoming progressively more human through claiming some form of agency.

Anyone else want a definite color scheme for Aziraphale’s wings?
