anyone still follow and remember me? lol I literally thought I lost access to this blog but it turns out I'm a fool and was misremembering the e-mail I used...I used to be 23books and then I lost that url somehow. anyway, not even sure I'll come back here, just checking in after years of inactivity. I've never been good at making friends, even online, so I doubt anyone will remember my existence but I just thought I'd see!
Queen of the bookshelf.
“It’s over, her mind whispered. There’s still hope, her heart insisted.”
― Libba Bray, Lair of Dreams
“As one tends the graves of the dead, so I tend the books. I clean them, do minor repairs, keep them in good order. And every day I open a volume or two, read a few lines or pages, allow the voices of the forgotten dead to resonate inside my head. Do they sense it, these dead writers, when their books are read? Does a pinprick of light appear in their darkness? Is their soul stirred by the feather touch of another mind reading theirs? I do hope so. For it must be lonely being dead.”
“That’s the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.”

01.04.20 / It’s the beginning of a new month. I’m using this day to rearrange my study. It’s long overdue for a clean up anyway. Plus, organization and a revamped study space is always a motivational boost!
While I was making my yellow to green book gradient, I thought I’d finally try to do rainbow bookshelves.
I’ve never done rainbow shelves before and for the most part, I like it. I usually organize them in alphabetical order by author but then it can lead to odd spacing issues or breaking up a series.
I will admit that this is aesthetically pleasing but I don’t know where anything is.
