Scorpius leaned over to give Tyler a hug, relaxing into his side. The older boy was always good at making him see things in perspective. “Thanks, Ty...” he said. “You always know what to say. Now eat your crackers.” He nodded, thinking about everything that was happening. “I hope they catch what’s causing it soon. It’s a lot.”

Cooper: Oh we've always had it at our house. Do you often go to your grandparents? Is that Lucius? I like him.
Cooper: Can I just say, I love the Malfoys.
Cooper: I got in some trouble at school and they phoned home so I kinda got an angry phone call from here which is /not/ like my Mum at all. So I guess something's wrong.
Cooper: I think my Mum is the same, she stays strong for us. I haven't really... I feel numb to it? Then again, that's probably cause I haven't spoke about it. I've sorta just boxed it all up and shelved it for now.
Cooper: Well then, that is our Monday night sorted, as soon as I get back from McGonagall arrest at 9pm.
Scorpius: We have dinner with them once a week when I'm at home. When I'm at school, it's major holidays. Yes, Lucius and Narcissa. Old tradition that we still adhere to, I guess.
Scorpius: ...why???
Scorpius: Oh I heard...you and Tyler were out and about? I'm sorry you got yelled at though. That doesn't sound very nice. I hope she's alright.
Scorpius: Oh...I can't do that. I feel everything too much. Dad was really worried when mum passed because we were really close. I think he just occupied himself with making sure I didn't end up in St. Mungo's.

Scorpius shrugged, still feeling both embarrassed and frustrated. “I do. I know I shouldn’t but I do.” He thanked their server when she put their food down, and busied himself with his food. “I hope so. All that stuff is kind of scaring me though. Isn’t it worrying you?”

About you and Al, i mean.” he asked as he wasn’t sure how all the rumors started. He pushed the hood off his head with a sigh. “It won’t be that bad, don’t worry.”
Scorpius shrugged, fiddling with the edges of his sleeves as he tried to quell the anxiety filling him. “I don’t know. We’re just really close, you know? I don’t know how that got turned into us fucking or whatever people keep saying,” he murmured. “We’re both single so I don’t know if that has to do with it or not but I guess it can’t help.”

Scorpius: I have to go have Christmas Dinner with my grandparents but otherwise I think it's going to be pretty lowkey with me and dad. Christmas was always mum's favourite holiday so we're going to be subdued I think.
Scorpius: Why would it be your fault? Honestly?? I think he was a wreck but he tried really hard to stay strong for me since I was worse off. Any breakdowns he had were mostly in private.
