If the states had superpowers, what would they have? And what about America? Take your time! And by the way, I never stopped waiting for you to upload the Texas chapter. I’ll stay loyal to you and will always read only your Statetalia stories. Nobody else’s. They just don’t compare to yours. Good luck in nursing school and in life!

As for superpowers, I haven’t really thought about it before. America, of course, canonically has super strength. Pennsylvania would be like Mrs. Incredible -- able to stretch her body to multitask. I suppose you could argue that Massachusetts’s magic is his superpower. New York would probably be super speed because of how fast paced his biggest city is. California would probably have telepathy as she’s already very good at reading people. 

A lot of more agriculturally minded states like Iowa and Nebraska would have the ability to control plants. West Virginia and Kentucky would probably have control over rocks/earth/underground due to their connection to mining. Alaska would have control over snow. Texas would have super strength like America. Rust Belt states like Ohio and Michigan would have control over metal, though Michigan may have hydrokinesis instead because of the Great Lakes.

As for the rest, I’m not really sure. You’re welcome to make suggestions though!

Can we have a lil’ dirt on Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas and Hawaii? Plus I have an idea for Montana’s human name: Delphine Yvonne Jones. Delphine means dolphin and Yvonne means yew tree. I’m also picturing America having a voice recorder where he records samples of himself yelling the states’ human names, each file named StateNameHereHumanName and New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii found Montana’s human name on there, turned it up to full volume and revealed Montana’s human name.

Delphine’s a pretty name. I wish I would have thought about it a couple of years ago. Montana’s human name is Olivia, but she doesn’t really like being called that. America’s the only one allowed to call her that, to everyone else it is Montana. Pennsylvania and Georgia call her that when she’s in trouble, though. 

America does have a list of the state’s human names and birthday’s in the computer, though, because he’s such a dad. He forgets them all the time. Seriously, my dad always called me by my sister’s name and sometimes would ask me if my birthday’s in October (mine is in January, 2 days before his), and my dad only had 2 kids. So, America with his 50 would be so much worse with mixing up names and birthdays.

Let’s see, what can I tell you about Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas? All four of them have wheat colored hair due to being Great Plains States -- it reflects the appearance of their lands. Kansas is kind of sickly due to not only the fact that she gets a lot of tornadoes, but also because of the history of Bleeding Kansas. Nebraska a huge agriculturalist -- like, he’s the ultimate farmer and would rather spend most of his days in the field than doing boring paperwork. And the Dakotas are practically identical twins that even America has difficulty telling them apart sometimes (he figures it out eventually) -- they, of course, use this for maximum mischief.

Why do so many states have brown hair and green eyes? Not criticizing, it’s just that there’s a lot of ‘em. If they witness any one of them get kidnapped, Delaware should shout “STATEPEDE!” Basically a “Statepede” is where they stampede very fast. They could even run on water if they go fast enough. So let’s just say, um, New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii were snatched. Hawaii would scream, setting off the Statepede. Eventually they catch him and when America arrives, it ain’t pretty...

Haha, I just really like the combination of brown hair and green eyes. They really complement each other nicely. Also, I like green eyes over blue and brown because I have green eyes. There’s really no other reason than that. 

Also, Statepede, that’s funny idea. I like that, though I doubt I, personally, would use it in a story. Any kidnapper would wish that was the only thing they had to worry about.

Are there any humans that secretly know of who the states really are? And what would happen if a country like Afghanistan or Syria found out? I think Russia would be nice to the states (especially Alaska) and beat up anyone who hurts them with his pipe. China would be practically the same as Russia but would send his panda after them. Would you ever allow us to use your characters?

The state governors, of course, know who the states are. There are also some federal officials who know about the states (Senators, Representatives, etc.) They all work closely together with the states for the benefit of the people. Occasionally, the states do date humans -- though, they don’t always tell their SOs who they are. It just depends on how serious the relationship is. Right now, they don’t really have any significant others because the world is hectic, but Massachusetts met a really cute guy at his favorite coffee shop and that’s all he’s been telling Connecticut about.

As for nations finding out about the states, America would do anything to protect the states and he would make that perfectly clear. Though, I don’t think any actual nation would hurt the states. Really, they’d just view the states as too insignificant compared to America.

As for using my characters, I would say no. Most of them aren’t really fleshed out and I personally want to explore and develop their characters before I loan them to others.

How do the 13 feel about England? And how do Vermont, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Louisiana feel about him? After all, they were involved in the War of 1812. Did Ohio’s last boyfriend gaslight her? If so, make America, the states (led by Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Michigan) and all Ohio’s previous boyfriends gang up on him and beat him to a bloody pulp. Lastly, did America shove the states into closets if any visitors showed up? Oh boy.

Well, it depends on the state you ask. Some have forgiven, but they haven’t forgotten, others are more apathetic towards him (mainly South Carolina), and others still have a one-sided rivalry with him. Massachusetts, in particular, views conflict with England as his “glory days” (even he wasn’t alive for most of it), and is very, very adamant that they have absolutely nothing in common (but, he, Connecticut, and Rhode Island all share the most in common with him personality-wise and interest-wise). Of course, Mass inherited his eyes and magical ability as the most obvious similarities between them.

Ohio and Louisiana have a slight grudge towards him because of the naval battles during the War of 1812 (it was physically very painful for those two and they still have the scars from it). Kentucky and Tennessee are more like South Carolina in that they just feel apathy towards him.

Ohio’s last boyfriend was mentally, emotionally, and physically abusive towards her. And let’s just say, once her family found out, he was never heard from again. Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky made sure of that. That was also the day Michigan stopped doubting New Jersey’s stories about how Pennsylvania could take down a fully grown bear by herself.

Do the states know their governors?

Yes, the governors are their bosses, much like the president is America’s boss. Right now, they are all working closely behind the scenes with their governors to respond to the coronavirus in both economics and public health. 

For example, Ohio, though she may not always see eye-to-eye with DeWine on everything, has a lot of respect for him and is very impressed with his leadership -- as is the general consensus in Ohio right now.

Was there a personification for the Confederate States of America? If so, then his human name could be Claiborne Luster Jones. Vivid red hair, sparkling, lively navy blue eyes. He never truly intended to hurt anyone but Jefferson Davis forced him to. He also had to look like a racist but took good, gentle care of all his slaves. He never would have met the 11 Confederate States themselves. He is currently living a lifetime of self-loathing and hates looking at his flag.

No, I do not have a personification of the Confederacy and do not intend to create one. However, if I did, I definitely would not characterize the Confederacy like that. Not only is that historically inaccurate and racist (He took “good care” of his slaves? Seriously? The whole institution of slavery was abusive, morally offensive, and inexcusable. There was and is no such thing as a “good” slave master), but that also feeds the white supremacist ideals.

You’re the only Statetalia writer whose fics I will ever read. Most of the fics out there are jumbled up, states beng introduced randomly instead of them each having their own chapter to break them down more. Plus they also make certain personifications for certain regions, which is so dumb. You, on the other, hand, clearly show their characters. You don’t randomly throw ‘em into our faces like most writers. That’s why you’re the best. I wish you the best of luck in the world for life.

I’ve seen a lot of really bad statetalia fanfictions, and I was never happy with how Ohio was portrayed, so I decided to create my own. I also do not understand those regional characters. That’s too many to keep track of and it doesn’t really make sense because there are endless ways to divide states into smaller pieces.

Why does America especially hate Ohio’s latest boyfriend? I also wonder what would happen if all the human boys Ohio ever dated found out Kentucky and Tennessee bullied Ohio in her childhood. After all, what’s gonna stop ‘em from marchin’ over to her poor wretched brothers to tear them limb from limb? Oh god then. Oh god...

Kentucky and Tennessee are definitely not afraid of any humans. If anything, Ohio’s boyfriends are afraid of them. 

As for why America and Michigan especially hate Ohio’s last boyfriend, let’s just say he wasn’t the greatest guy. Her last relationship left her in a bad place mentally and emotionally, and America does not like it when anyone hurts his children in anyway.

What has happening during the Civil War? Did the 11 Confederate States (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia) leave the house or did they temporarily die with the personifications of their Confederate selves taking their place? And what was happening with Missouri and Kentucky? Finally, did the Confederate states not know about West Virginia until they returned?

They kind of left for that period of time and formed their own household. Missouri and Kentucky kind of just stayed on the sidelines and didn’t really interact with anyone in their family at the time outside of holidays because they didn’t want to get caught in the middle. Kentucky just went to his own state and took the younger Missouri with him. 

As for the Confederate states knowing about West Virginia, they did know about him.

If Iggy met the states, would he think Kentucky and Tennessee are fraternal twins? After all, they both have red hair and green eyes and were both born on June 1st. (Same with the Carolinas.) Is Texas close to Mexico? Have the provinces and states ever met Mexico’s kids (if she has any)? And do you plan on revealing the provinces in a spin-off?

Yeah, England would probably have a hard time telling Kentucky and Tennessee apart because they are very similar looking. He would also maybe have flashbacks to his childhood as they both look like younger Scotland. 

Texas, California, Arizona, and New Mexico are the closest to Mexico and her states (she has). Mexico is especially fond of Texas as a person because he reminds her of her Texas (his mother). 

As for the provinces, I probably wouldn’t release a story with them because I know very little about them outside of their names.

Yes, there are either 25-25 or 26-24 in regards to gender. I just kind of picked most of the genders at random, but I did try to keep it balanced.

About Tennessee: I really hope you won’t make him have Elvis hair. Seriously, PLEASE DON’T. And maybe he’s also trying to make up to Ohio for bullying her when she was young, so she’s probably closer to him than to Kentucky, but he’s the one thing standing between Ohio and Kentucky murdering each other. He’s close to Kentucky, but gets annoyed with West Virginia. Also do Kentucky and Tennessee write songs together, And whenever West Virginia causes trouble do they and Ohio snitch on him? 😏

Don’t worry, Tennessee does not have Elvis hair. That would be really ridiculous. 

He’s close with Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia, though Ohio and WV do annoy him because they’re his little siblings. They definitely wouldn’t snitch on WV though, because in all honesty, they’re probably causing trouble along with him (they really are bad influences on poor West Virginia). 

Tennessee and Kentucky have tried to write songs in the past, but Kentucky wants to emulate Bill Monroe (the Father of Bluegrass) or Roy Acuff and Tennessee wants to emulate Hank Williams or Lefty Frizzell (because according to him, the Honky Tonk sound of the late 40′s and early 50′s was peak country music). They just conflict too much, and then California comes in saying how the Bakersfield Sound is clearly the best kind of country music and then Texas will chime in that the Western Swing of Bob Wills or Ernest Tubb is the best.

I hope it's alright I ask this, you said it was okay to ask about the m. And your states are the best, most non offensive so far. Um, my home state's birthday was last month and it got me wondering, did he ever run away? Being the only state born out of a Confederate state, more so cause it played to the Union's advantage, did he ever feel at that he was unwanted during and after the Civil War?

Thank you so much! I’ve seen plenty of horrifically offensive state OCs, so I try to at least research and treat them like, you know, actual characters and not stereotypes like some statetalia authors.

As for West Virginia and the circumstances of his birth, he used to feel very conflicted about it. Of course, America being the dad he is would’ve made it perfectly clear that West Virginia was very much loved and wanted despite the circumstances, which of course helped West Virginia out immensely. 

I just cannot imagine America as a father making one of his states feel unloved or unwanted, even if that may be OOC of him.

As for if he ever ran away or not, I don’t think he would’ve. Ohio and Pennsylvania would’ve especially been looking out for him during that time and making sure that he knew that he could go them with anything. Had he not had that support system though, he probably would have.

How do we The birthdays all for the states? With some having them on the same day, some close together like Idaho and America next to each other for example. How would that work? I doubt they would all like sharing their birthday.

If they have the same birthday or birthdays that are 1 or 2 days apart, they just celebrate them together. And then, certain states that are close to that particular state will have a smaller celebration. And America always makes sure to do something special with each state, even if it’s not on the exact date of their birthday.

This is about The United States of Chaos. First of all, will you ever post the Texas chapter? Second of all, will there be 25 boys and 25 girls? I’m asking this because I thought Iowa and Minnesota would be female but they’re male, which makes me think that there will be more boys than girls and I hope that doesn’t happen. Third of all, how do Kentucky Tennessee and Ohio feel about Louisiana. Fourth of all, does Ohio resent Kentucky and Tennessee for bullying her in her childhood? Please answer!

Sorry this has taken forever to answer.

So, I’ve been really busy these last two years with life and stuff and I haven’t been really been able to or had the motivation to update. I’m hoping to start updating the United States of Chaos again by this weekend (providing I get my 30,000 pharmacology assignments and my care plan done). 

There are, I believe 25 boys and 25 girls. Though it might be 26-24. I would have to sit down and count them (I have a master list of OCs, thankfully). I just kind of selected genders on a whim (except Ohio because Ohio is my state and I always imagined her as female).

As for Louisiana, Ohio has some respect for Louisiana for her naval contributions in the War of 1812 (there were naval conflicts in both Ohio and Louisiana in that war). Also, Louisiana was Ohio’s first little sister, so she felt the need to take Louisiana under her wing when she was born. As for Kentucky and Tennessee, I haven’t really thought too much about how they would interact. I suppose they’re amicable with her and have the kinship of being fellow Southern states. Tennessee and Louisiana also share a love of country music (because of the Louisiana Hayride, which featured may famous artists like Hank Williams, Faron Young, etc.)

And finally, Ohio doesn’t resent Kentucky and Tennessee. They all kind of grew out of it, and Kentucky and Tennessee have made it up with her.

Anyway, I’m hoping to update soon.
