I've seen a lot of bad faith critiques of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Genuinely, how do you expect a show to demonstrate internal monologues in a 3rd person narrative. You show it through dialogue, and suddenly, there's "too much talking." You dont show it enough, and "the kids are way too smart and jumping to conclusions without any reason." Im not saying these aren't valid criticisms by any means, but some people clearly wanted to hate this show before it even came out.

The AO3 Primary Ship Search add-on for Firefox (it’s called AO3 First Tag Search for Chrome) adds this little checkbox to the AO3 advanced search page

And if you check the box, the search only returns fics where the pairing you entered is the first one tagged. This is better than the otp:true operator imo because it will show fics with secondary/background pairings too as long as your preferred ship is the main one.

You can even use the add-on in Firefox or Kiwi browser on Android mobile.

Ive been saying since forever that @ao3org needs to add a filter section for main characters and main pairings.

It’s such a slog to search for a fic that has a common background pairing as the main focus, or a fic that focuses on a side character without having to filter against the canon main character.

I know it’d probably be a bitch to implement, but i can dream

Also, I am a HUGE fan of how they did the texting/phone calls in the film. Showing the text alone, then voices, then showing Alex and Henry visually getting closer and closer to one another, until they end up lying next to each other in bed emotionally, eye to eye, damn near touching despite being thousands of miles apart.

It's so good! It was such an incredible choice.

You can see that Henry is already infatuated, too, by the facial expressions from Galitzine. And I think Alex, too, just not obviously so because Alex himself hasn't figured it out yet.
