little deltarune thought i am putting on this mostly abandoned blog so i can sleep: what is the deal with the soul cage being a pre-existing thing? you as the irl real audience member playing as the soul encounter kris for the first time during chapter 1. like. my first time meeting Kris was running survey program 2018. that whole thing with (presumably) gaster forming the connection, you designing the vessel, definitely seems like ‘it is your first time as the player doing this’. so, uh, why does kris have a bloodied cage to hold a soul in already? was someone else piloting until we logged on? honest answer is probably not, or just not considered for story - element is there to show that kris is a seperate person who does not exactly enjoy being puppeted around and gets a little sillay with it. but it is interesting to think about in the fourth wall sense! like, our role as a character Starts in chapter 1. so who was there before?
