WHY is it that Paris’ terror attacks were a major tragedy in the media when Aleppo is not??? I didn’t even know about this until two days ago. many of us still don’t understand what’s going on, because the media is staying silent. but why, when this has got to be the worst thing happening in 2016. there’s not much hope left for the people in Aleppo. women are asking their husbands to kill them in order to save them from being raped by their captors. children are dying. there aren’t hospitals or medics who can save them. these poor, trapped innocent people..
This is a war between the Syrian government and the rebels who fought hard for their own freedom. The rebels initiated peaceful protests, however the government is more interested in a winning this five-year long war, rather than settling on a fair negotiation and sparing the lives of over 100,000 people who once lived in Aleppo. Turkey and Saudi Arabia support the rebels, but Russia sides with the government, helping it to bomb the innocent city, which was once the largest, most populated city in Syria. Turkey was forced to turn away at least 10,000 refugees from Aleppo, as they are already providing for over 2.5 million other refugees. This has been described as a ‘nightmare humanitarian situation’ - one of the worst in history. Most of us here are from fortunate first world countries, so it’s important for us to help donate whatever we can, $5, $10, $20, $50, or more, any amount would make a world of a difference! Even if you don’t donate, just make sure that the world knows what is happening to the people of Aleppo, because they deserve much more than what the media is currently giving them, which is nothing but petty silence and cruel indifference.

There are probably at least some Syrian refugees living in your city, or close by, they’re probably struggling, and there’s more on the way. Please try and put as much effort into figuring out a way to help them as you’re putting into figuring out who the goodies and baddies are in place they came from.
Can’t emphasise this enough. In Glasgow there’s loads of refugee work going out - here’s some links to groups you can volunteer for or donate to:
Refuweegee Glasgow - a group that organise clothing pick ups for refugees and welcome packs including “letters fae the locals” https://refuweegee.co.uk/volunteering-opportunities/
Scottish Refugee Council - http://www.scottishrefugeecouncil.org.uk/support_us/volunteer/volunteer_roles
Host a Refugee - http:/www.volunteerglasgow.org/volunteer/host-a-refugee/
Refugee Action Scotland - http://www.re-act.scot
This is just a few of them, but honestly can’t urge folk to help out even a wee bit if they can!
cheers!
If anyone else has links about ways to help in their city/country, please reblog this and add them
Does anyone have anything about supporting refugees in Aus?
I got my heart broken and I survived, I failed 3 courses in university and graduated, I got rejected in the very first job I applied for and got promoted yesterday, I went through hard times with my family but then two years later, we laughed our hearts out over lunch, The closest friends disappointed me several times but I made new friends and loved them with all my heart. I did it once, I can do it again.
I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY

You are a bad-ass.
