in other news, i finally got in to see a urologist again for the first time in my adult life (reverse shoutout to my parents who just. stopped taking me to the pediatric urologist for some reason even tho nothing had been treated yet msndndn) and wow. wouldve pushed for this referral years sooner if i realized how easy/effectively some of these issues could be treated with the right meds omfg. better late than never but still.....hindsight is 20/20 mssmnfnfnfn

#like don't get me wrong my bladder is still fucked LMAO #but I've been surprised how much meds have helped w symptom control and i love it honestly

if theres one silver lining to come out of chronic post-pandemic staff retention issues, it's that my senority has a little more pull these days in terms of getting my more High Demand vacation requests off on this years planner LMAOOO. like i got 2 weeks off in peak summer as well as a week off around the august long weekend... i have literally never in my life had a july or august vacation request get approved before KDNDNFNF little baby nurse is moving up the ranks finally!!!!!

#only took like.....nearing a decade of senority and mass hemorrhaging of more senior staff to get here LMAO #im so excited to be able to do a big summer trip this year without having to trade into disgusting shift stretches to Make It Work

okay so I've had hundreds (if not over a thousand by now) of needle pokes and/or injections in my lifetime, and a good chunk of them were pretty miserable to receive, pain wise. but holy fuck my physiatrist did the full migraine botox protocol on me this morning for the first time and i swear to God, no other needle i have ever had before hurt as bad as that tiny ass 30g needle going right between my eyebrows....i damn near screamed it hurt soooo fucking bad (which was probably not helped by the fact that i went in with an active migraine ksjsndjd). that sheer level of pain was so damn unexpected mwcmwmfm hate!

#somehow it was even more painful than the prolotherapy injections i used to get #and that shit was being injected like. inside my hip joint and in my crotch and pelvic floor etc #those were so painful that id give myself bruises from digging my fingernails into my palm to cope during the procedure #but id still put those in second place after the apparent evil entity lurking in my forehead known as the humble procerus

lmao just got diagnosed with sleep apnea and have never been stoked to have a new diagnosis LMAO purely because i am sooooo desperate to just HAVE SOME ENERGY (hopefully) for once in my life 😭😭😭

#i think ill intensely detest the actual physical sensory of wearing the CPAP KWKSJDJDNDJ but idc at this point #i am sick of feeling perpetually ready to take a nap 24/7 for the last like. 15+ years msjdmdmd

wow so i got my covid booster yesterday which was shot #7 for me, and never in my life have i had my shit rocked SOOO hard from a vaccine oh my god

it took about 12ish hr until the side effects kicked in but i legit felt like death all night KWKDJDKD like a fever, chills (which triggered a narsty prolonged raynaud attack) paired with drenching sweat, a pounding headache, bad flank pain, whole body aches (esp in my large joints), nausea, abdo pain, chest discomfort (like it legit felt like i could feel each fiber of my heart getting sore KSKDNFJ), also had this fucky sensation in my entire torso where it felt like the sensation of being in a free fall (like a rollercoaster) but that feeling was in like. every organ KWMDNFN

thankfully the side effects only lasted about 6-8hr, i mostly just have a headache and fatigue now. but man if my immune response to the covid boosters is always so intense, i can only imagine how i'd fare with a legit covid infection lmao no thank you!!!

lmao migraines are so fucked. had a migraine start last evening that devolved into the worst migraine ive had in literal years (i know it's been at least 5 years, but honestly couldn't tell you how long it's been beyond that - the last i can recall being that bad was in 2016ish but that seems too far away lmao).

i threw everything at it Including the kitchen sink and nothing made even a dent (which was odd bc usually they're fairly responsive to triptans). so i laid in a pitch black room with earplugs in and icepacks on my head+neck for several hours while having intermittent success at holding back my tears from the intensity of pain. then about an hour after taking medications #5 and #6 as a hail mary, it was like a switch was flipped and within minutes it was just.....gone (aside from some grogginess/Less-Than-Sharp cognitive function). like, the fact that the brain can go from 0 to 100 so quickly, then from 100 back to 0 also within a blink of an eye, is truly nuts. why did evolution do us so dirty like that lmao

#but oh my god #even though im kind of a wuss i do consider my pain tolerance window a little skewed just from existing with chronic pain #but when i say the intensity of that migraine was on par with waking up from reconstructive hip surgery I'm not even kidding #at least i got ketamine when they cut off my hip socket rjdjdjjf. that migraine felt like raw dogging in comparison even with meds on board #anyways my migraines have been way more frequent in this last year and it's so annoying #let me LIVE
