As I go through this life, I always look forward to learning, achieving and most of all creating. It's what I feel is growth, and prosperity...and it's living! If I were to tell you, you were going to lose a sense, you'd be bummed needless to say! You see, today in 2015 we actually have 6 senses, not just 5! The reason I say this, is because with the advancements we have made in technology it creates a six sense. Let me give you an example. Imagine trying to communicate with a dear friend who lives out of state, who doesn't have a cell phone, who doesn't have a computer. You find you are doing something fantastic in your life, that you want to share with them in the way of pictures or a video. Now think about the steps you have to take to make this happen. Difficult to say the least! My dear Mom is 90 years old and lives thousands of miles away from me. She does have a Mac laptop computer and she does have a a cell phone, but because she doesn't really understand how to operate email or her cell phone, she's not able to see pictures that I would like to share with her. We siblings have all taken time to explain how it all works, but she just can't seem to grasp it. She's not resistant and has a great disposition and willing attitude, but because she hasn't stayed up or in tune with technology, it's very difficult for her to grasp and retain concepts in this way. It is almost like learning a language for her. Therefore my communication with my own Mom is severely handicapped and that's why I say it's like losing a 6 sense. I find that I can't share my life with my own Mom, in the way that I would like to and that's frustrating to me! The red flag that I've taken away from this experience with my own Mom, is to stay on top of technology! Here's the crazy partā¦I have friends of mine, 45 years in age and on up, who don't text and refuse not to text. I feel sorry for their resistance to prosper and grow in Technology, because I see what a handicap it ends up being and how this will continue to snowball to the point of what it would be like to lose a sense! When we were in grade school and learned our additions, we didn't stop and say we didn't want to learn subtraction, multiplication, division etc.? Why on earth do we feel that just because we reach a certain age we stop learning, prospering and growing? It's resistance, stubbornness and ignorance! It's what I call aging! How many times we rotate around the sun on this earth, does not define or create age! It's our mental attitude. We don't have to become technology nerds to stay on top of it all. But if we don't stay on top of it year-by-year, it's like trying to take calculus in high school without having basic math. Stay on your game...always be eager to learn, a desire to prosper and open to newness that comes your way...make sense? To me it makes complete sense...6 sense!
